Just borrowed (from word) one of those owl things.

My last bill was £189 - thats £14.54 a week.

Its a two bed, semi. Gas CH&HW. Electric cooker, big fridge (US style).

Washer, dryer, dishwasher. large plasma, 2 x 32" LCDs & a small LCD.

Is this reasonable do you think?

I think its a lot.
DH thinks is reasonable.

  • check that it is using your correct electricity rate. Mine has a default price, which is much less than the actual price so I add 50% to the on screen cost

    Yes I set it in.

I pay a lot for the first few units, no doubt instead of standing charge

& then less for the rest. I put the lower amount in.

    Thats nearly half ours:mad:

My dishwasher (Hotpoint, I'm changing it) has a bad layout inside & isn't very adjustable so I end up doing more washes because its hard to fit things in.
I would guess we do 14 loads a week in the DW
I use the tumble a lot for bedding/towels/nightwear/underwear.

You pay more than I almost over £5 more a week than I do

I think Plasma uses much more energy than lcd does but not £5 extra

    Here's my bill

Just checked it again, the bill is over 11 weeks

    So £188.31 / 80 (days) * 7 (in a week) is £16.48 to be exact.
