I was about to book to go from Edinburgh to Faro next October when they went under - shame never had a bad experience with them.
I notice that Jet2 are now flying from Edinburgh in October - this has happened since Globespan went down as they used to stop at the end of September. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

Sorry, I should have clarified. This is only allowed if you are trying to get back from your holiday. If you used a CC to book the flights and you try to get home, you are entitled to book flights at the same class as the original. So when you get home your CC company have to refund you the original cost of the return segment, and the difference you had to fork out to get you back.I don't suppose that covers you both ways? I.e. my girlfriend and I were booked to fly with globespan to Spain in February. I'm currently looking for alternative flights but they're all about twice the price - would I be able to make a claim for the alternative flights? The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
