I have accumilated thousands of nectar points worth about £50 off my sainsurys shop but was wondering whether this is a good way to use them or is it more cost effective to use them for a day out or buying something...any ideas would be wonderful.:j

OMG I didnt know you could use Nectat ar Argos! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Only to spend points, you can't collect them in Argos.
You can if you shop online through Nectar
I also use mine for Argos, saved them all year from shopping and Mysurvey and accumulated just £100.2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32
2012 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £435.75
2013 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £300 ~ saved £521
2014 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £400 ~ saved0 -
how do you know how many nectar points you have? and how do you redeem them? Years ago I used to get statements trough the post but I haven't had anything for as long as I can remember.0

Register at http://www.nectar.com/ to check and spend your points.0

Go to www.nectar.com and if you're not already registered there you should be able to with your nectar card number, then you can see your points statement, update address details, see what online shops you can collect points with and where to spend them.
We usually use Argos to spend points at (they just swipe the card) and collect points at Sainsburys and Amazon.0 -
I too store them up to spend at Argos. It's useful being able to replace a small electrical item that's packed in without spending anything! This year I have "bought" a new scanner, a hot brush and a travel hairdryer with my points."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I have used mine for Legoland annual passes
LEGOLAND Annual Pass - Adult 9,400 points (equivalent to £47)
LEGOLAND Annual Pass - Child 7,000 points (equivalent to £35)
They also do day passes (about half above price) and cinema tickets for Vue. Details on Nectar website. HTH.0
