  • I love over the knee boots, was a little bit sceptical about them first but then decided to go for the kill. I got a neat pair online from a store called
bags of serene they are gorgeous although they were a little bit pricey I nabbed them anyway due to Christmas fast approaching and plus they were custom made so I couldn't argue with that ;0)

Well, I've just bought a pair of OTK boots and I'm 52 (if it matters!), they are flat, brown 'suede'. I am 5'8" and the boots come over my knees, although they are shaped at the side, they are soft, warm and comfortable.

DD has given them her vote of approval which is good enough for me as I trust her judgement but to be honest, there's nothing 'extreme' about the way I'm planning to wear them, so I don't know what all the fuss is about!

I plan to wear them casually during the day with thick tights or leggings and long layered knits/ jumper dress/ chunky long cardi etc. I feel very comfortable about wearing them. It's fun to keep your style updated.

Care to share where from? :D. I've been eyeing them up for a while now and I might be ready to take the plunge. Mind you I am also the wrong side of 35!

Well, you'll notice the 'suede' bit was in commas! They were £15 in Primark, and I've customised the tassel bit at the back with some chunky wooden beads so they don't look totally like everyone else's. They were walking off the shelves in there!! They had them in black, blue and brown. They're a one-season fun buy for me so I didn't want to pay much, but there are ever so many around if you want to 'invest' and there have been quite a few links on this board!

£15 sounds good to me - I bought a pair of Primark's "suede" boots a few years back and much to my surprise they still look good despite being cream. I paid the princely sum of £8.00 for them then.

My mum has a pair of leather thigh high ones. She's 53, and she always loves trying the new season's look. She loves it even more now she's lost 10 kgs (just over a stone and a half) and I'm proud to call her my mum! She was eyeing up my skater trainers at the weekend so she has a pair for Xmas and they turned up this morning :D
