Can you let me know where you got these, please? I'm looking for some but everywhere I've looked only seem to have suede ones (which will get ruined in the rain). Thanks!0 -
I've always been tempted to get some over the knee boots, but have always been put off by not really having anything to wear with them with or anywhere to go. I think with the right outfit they look the best, and that age doesn't have anything to do with it. If it matches your style and looks good, then go for it

As you say its 'interpreting' fashion trends which is the key.
This is what my mum does and shes dresses great, for example she likes Uggs but says herself she couldnt wear them at 50+ so instead of uggs wearing Earth or Fitflop boots (similar to uggs but more of a winter boot)
But going back to the over the knee boots, I think at 35 you can wear them.:T
Gosh! So Earth boots and Fitflop boots are OK for the over-50's?

But Uggs are not suitable for the over-50's?

I'm really struggling to understand the relevance of age in this case to be honest!0 -

I was just pointing out that certain styles, like shops, are your younger people.
They are simliar but not proper UGGS thats the difference, They may look the same to you but to me they dont, and to my mum they don't- she feels comfortable wearing them but would not with UGGS.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

As am I, but partly because I can't see some of those boots looking good on anyone, of any age!
Plus, I'd agree with an earlier comment, it's how you wear them - i.e. no one, of any age, should wear thigh highs with a mini skirt and boobs on show unless they're...actually, just never!
(p.s. I'm in my 20s myself)0 -

You are? How the hell you think I feel when im still prancing about in mini skirts and Im 45:rotfl::rotfl:
AGE has nothing to do with what you wear
My legs are my best feature, Im wolf whistled from behind,( frighten kids from the front) I have a cute !!!! and good legs but at 5 foot not a lot, knee length and below swamp me so I never wear shirts below knee line - unless its a full on pencil skirt which I do wear with heels and seems and look the dogs bollixs
And I wear jeggings - tighter the better on the leg - as long as they fit up the tum - I hate the muffin top look
As for thigh highs, the only thing that stops me is I really am too short in the leg for them else Id be back in them like a shot - heels or flats
As for uggs, Id wear them as well if I was an uggs sort of girl but Im not. I wear fitted all the way with heels and sheers or pumps and opaques.
And no doubt I will still be wearing the same styles into my 50's and perhaps 60s. Im not for elasticated waist bands and jogging bottoms quite yet:D0 -
I didn't mean to upset anyone when I said is 35 to old to wear them, I haven't actually seen anyone wear any in real life, just celebs in magazines, so I didn't know if they were more for late teens.
I agree that the low heel ones look less tarty, but the ones I like have a heel! :rotfl:
I live in a small town, with hardly any shoe shops so I cant wait to go shopping somewhere bigger and I can actually try some on!
I am going to measure my thighs now...£100 - £10,0000 -
If I'm allowed to go off the middle of my thigh then I'm ok just, if its the top of my thigh I will have to forget it lol!£100 - £10,0000

Dont think it was you who done the upsetting
And look 35 is NOT OLD
Wear what you want, wear what suits you, wear whats comfortable.
I think its when you fallow fashion trends to the letter that you get the mutton as lamb effect. For years I couldnt buy new clothes because the styles were all wrong for me, my shape and my lifestyle. Im adoring that now skirts are more hugging and shorter, Im loving that fitted is now back, I can buy clothes again:D I know what suits, I only deviate in that I change colours0
