I fell on this thread by accident, but I'm so glad I did.

I have spent the last hour or so reading and literally laughing out loud (and I've learned quite a lot, too, so that's an added bonus).
To all you anti-PCN people - I salute and thank you.

  • Its the cyber equivalent of 'innit' used by chavs. It is also easy to spell!
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

This thread is certainly the gift that keeps on giving. Cyberman1956 is hilarious.

It does your eyes after a few seconds, but I managed to obtain this nugget:

"You the driver may not be the registered keeper but that does not matter as the owner's vehicle was involved in the trespass and damages will be pursued through them"

So are they after the driver, keeper or owner? Or anyone daft enough to fall for it!

My favourite is the PCN-UK Ltd guide to Bailiffs which they appear to have copied and pasted from https://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk which is not a government body as the link aludes to but is paid for by donations and is independant http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/company-info/ih-introduction.php

    http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/debt_basics/bailiff-guide.php

What is highly amusing is the way PCN-UK have inserted "Restricted When Completed" at the bottom of each page of their guide to Bailiffs. This looks to me as if they are trying to give themselves / the document an air of authority. In reality it means sweet fa as it is a document that is freely available to anyone that they have copied and pasted (Without acknowledging their source). The term Restricted when completed is used by the government for certain forms, I would have thought it has no use outside of anyone who has not signed the official secrets act.

I am not currently in a position to email them, but is it worth contacting the Insolvency Helpline to point out the potential breech of copyright?

I think, joking aside, that it is time something was done to close this clown down once and for all. Ideas?

Loving the application for employment form:

Do you have any criminal convocation: YES NO (this may not stop you from gaining employment with us?)
    If yes please explain: ________________________________________________

    Convocation???
