If a debtor can't afford food, I recommend stealing* it from some splitter (like Tescos). ;) There's only 20 people viewing the board ATM. I am informed that 15 of them are the mods on the lookout for Ad/Broders/Mewbie's latest pseudonym. ;)

*edit: stealing is bad because it breaks the law, it's not as if the law is ever ethically incorrect.

You can't feed your kids...well your answer there sounds like something Hitler may have suggested. Maybe you advocate sterilising the poor eh?
It's saddening to see the glee that some reporters and casual bystanders get from other people's hardship. Common but saddening.

I just wanted to thank this twice:T

Perhaps they fully expected to be able to repay the loan but then life got in the way? Reduced hours, reduced overtime, job loss, sickness, etc. There are a lot of issues that can get in the way.

I think this is the reason people get into trouble with debt. They borrow money that they have the ability and intention to repay then circumstances change and things spiral out of control.

Obviously the Hitler thing was a bit OTT but what the hell. I still agreed with the majority of the post.

It was said tongue-in-cheek, and a tad for the benefit of fc. :D No-one should be unable to feed themself. However if someone can't, a large profit making supermarket seems like a sensible choice. I'd prefer they steal from a company than go without food or steal from an individuals home or person.

Aren't there people who live off the contents of the bins at the back of supermarkets?

    There's your answer. :D
