Many many thanks OP, we got 4 bottles of the 2 different cavas and then because the Oudinot rose is a fave of mine, OH picked up 2 bottles of that which had money off, so our bill came to £65.94 then after all the discounts £39.50, which I think is technically £6.58 a bottle and a complete bargain for the Oudinot! :THonorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. My six bottles scanned in at £20.52 because two were Rosado on the 2-for-£12 offer instead of 2-for-£10 like the Brut & M/Dry. Wonderful! But then...
Had to park on remote edge of universe (Camberley M&S is fuge!) so could not carry everything at one go and went back for another six. This time I got 3x Rosado, 2x Brut, 1x M/Dry and would have been much more expensive. Odd numbers mess everything up you need to have pairs so that the 2-for offers kick in. Someone probably said this already but I missed it, watch out though!I ♥ MSE0 -

I got another 6 cava ( mixed) plus 6 wine (mixed) which were on the 3 for £10 offer someone mentioned earlier.
Total price £32.06.
Worked out the wine was less than £2.60 a bottle each ( rrp £4.49) and cava less than £3.13 a bottle.
Bargainous:T
More thanks to OP

how does this pan out if you buy the half price wines?
is the 25% taken off using the original price - which would equate to a 50% discount overall off the already 50% wines
or am i just dreaming0 -
is this the last day of the offer?0

Sorry FilthyLuka, were you asking me ??
Receipt
Total Bill before discounts = £71.88
25% off due to Buy 6 wine/champ offer = (£17.94)
Cava 2 for £10 discount = (£14.94)
Wine 3 for £10 discount = (£6.94)
Balance to pay 12 items = £32.06
Actually, I think I should have had another few pence off the 25% discount - I make it £17.97 rather than £17.94, but I won't quibble over 3 pence;)
Wine was not half price, but on 3 for £10.
M&S have lots of reductions on various wines, but I don't know if the 25% will come off those original prices..... I presume it will come off the reduced price.
I assume this cava/wine glich is because the cava and wine singally go through the till at their full price - £7.49 and £4.49.
If you buy 6 you get 25% off this..... but certain wines and champaignes have other linked offers....24£10 and 34£10.
Does that make sense
p.s....I don't normally give a monkeys a$$ about "thanks", but over 9 thousand views of this thread, and claire21 gets 40 thanks.
Something wrong somewhere:cool:0 -
Got another 12 bottles today, and drinking a glass of the white Cava, as I type. It is lovely.
There was a lady in the store giving away champagne and chocolate samples. Champagne at half price was not as nice as the Cava, in my opinion, but the half price chocolates were delicious, so got a couple of boxes of those too.
Thanks OP.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
