Has anyone got a bottle of cava to hand am trying to find out if its suitable for vegans? I know they are replacing the suitable for vegetarians with suitable for vegans if it is vegan - will make my life easier in buying wine but not all labels altered.
Think Il buy 6 of the mulled wine as that one does have vegan on the bottle Im told.would love to win an ipad!

bottle of medium dry says vegetarians but nothing about vegans.
Thank you for looking am guessing its not vegan then or not yet updated - have just seen the bucks fizz says vegetarian not vegan? Must be somthing like egg white/milk used somewhere along the lines.
It can be hard finding vegan wines - especially now my local co op off licence shut as they are fab for labelling.
The mulled wine I saw instore said vegan on so will be happy with that:DSealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Just tell whoever you are giving it too that it is vegan friendly. They will never know the difference any way.It also serves them right for being so fussy.
I am not vegan or vegitarian, and can empathise with the effort needed to cater for the varying foibles of peoples dietary demands...... but, I for one, would draw the line well before this point.
For whatever moral, health or religious reasons people have for NOT wanting to eat or drink certain items, surely you should respect that.
Would you sneakily give a beef sausage to a vegitarian claiming it was meat free? or give a devout Jew a casserole which contained pork ?
Speaking as a Meat eating, alcohol drinking, nut munching omnivore, I would not have a problem with my host pointing out that one of the dishes tonight contained squid or snail etc ( which I hate).
I would not wish to circumvent everyone elses culinary pleasure on my behalf. I would be grateful for the advance warning.
I would not be impressed if I was given food/drink which my hosts knew full well I did not eat/drink, on the basis that I was being "fussy"
Sorry, just my opinion.;)0 -

Erm thanks for that view but It's me who is vegan - and Im not fussy I just do not want any animal products in my food/drink! Im vegan because I personally choose not to eat/use any products containing animal products and also Im very intollerant to foods containing egg white - it use to make me ill when I was vegetarian. Tests I had were approved medical ones my GP was aware of this.
I honestly hope no one ever serves me anything containing animal products saying Its vegan:rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I think it's today. It's unlikely that it would finish on a Saturday IMHO.Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.0
