Somehow 'STARBUCKS' and 'MONEYSAVER' don't seem to sit together very well IMHO.
Oh how I agree! I only wish the Canadian chain of Tim Hortons would open up over UK. I know the exchange rate is usually good for us going back to my husband's native land but at about 80 pence for a large cup makes Starbucks over here extremely expensive. Mind you, we'd be in it everyday if it was here (and Dairy Queen if it were here too!!)

Has anyone noticed that in some places they offer you a choice of tea size?
E.g. a 'small' tea is one teabag with (say) 200ml hot water, a large is a bigger cup with one teabag and (say) 300ml hot water.
And the price is £1.20 compared to £1.50?!
I mentioned the fact that we were paying an extra 30p for a relatively small amount of extra hot water and the girl looked at me like I was causing trouble, we are not supposed to notice or mention these things being British...
Maybe next time I will ask for a small tea in a large cup and extra hot water.
I wonder what justification they have for this really, heating the extra water? Buying and washing a larger cup? The extra seconds of staff time to pour the extra water?0 -

I disagree with the free refils.
Only this saturday I was in starbucks, had a chai latte and went back up for a free tall filter coffee. The refil is only tall filter coffee but you get to chose the coffee as they usually have two brewing that day. You don't have to buy filter coffee either, any hot drink qualifies for the filter coffee.
Second I am very picky about my drink as after all I'm paying for it. I sent my drink back twice last week, first it wasn't the extra hot I asked for, second it was coffee they gave me. Didn't give me a bigger size though. Second time it's happeend too, perhaps I should complain more vociferously.
Anyone know if there if there is a way to complain effectivly (I've complained to the store and filled out the send off papers in the store but not got a good responce out of either )
Thanks

There are Tim Hortons (well, mini-Tims, they have a minimal selection) in a few Spar shops in the UK - and over 50 of them in Spars in Ireland (North and South).0 -
