You should keep in mind that HDNL is one of the or the cheapest couriers. It shouldn't come as any surprise that as the cheapest they're not going to provide the best service.
If you want a better delivery service you might want to buy from a company that doesn't use HDNL, but you'll pay more.0 -
i had them leave a parcel in my big blue recycling bin...i had to stick my five yr old in there to get it as i couldnt reach the bottom...luckily enough it was a new clen bin0

Just out of interest, how do people bill these courier companies for their time? Cos I had to take 3 consecutive days off work waiting for a parcel someone kept pretending to have delivered...0

I've never had a problem with HDN however SecureDX
Whenever I'm expecting parcels to my home address I leave a note on the door asking them to leave it with my next door neighbour. HDN, Royal Mail, DHL etc have no problem with this and are happy to leave parcels next door. SecureDX, however, refused to do this as they are a secure delivery service. So as the parcel was a birthday present and I didn't have the 48 hours required to change the delivery address I arranged to take the following day off to receive it. Again no problem as I can sometimes work from home. I rearrange my work so I can be home. Parcel arrives safely although with something missing however the major part is in time for the birthday and I can chase up the other bit. So far so good.
A couple of days later another card is put through the door saying they tried to deliver a parcel and could I rearrange delivery. I suspect this is the missing part of the present (DS bundle - one of the games was missing) so I contact them to arrange for it to be delivered to my work. The next day I get home and there is the missing game posted through my letter box
So are they secure or not
And if not why did I have to rearrange my work to take time off when they clearly don't care about how secure they are0 -

Well I ordered two items from Amazon on Sunday, both despatched on Monday, one was delivered by HDN on Wednesday and I am still waiting for the other which was sent by Royal Mail.0 -
Nope both were sent super saver, I am aware that they usually take longer but as both were dispatched the same day and HDN only took two days one wonders why Royal Mail should take longer.0

lol i think you need to compare the scale of RM vs HDNL
couriers carry nothing like the volume of RM so its takes far more time to process
i could go into the other factors in RM but given there are no strikes on nobody is interested
i will wait for all the alternative to RM posts in the future for those0 -

As the complete opposite to this I had 2 things sent from Amazon on Monday (wonder if they're the same 2 things as you?!) one by RM and one by HDNL (both supersaver) the RM parcel came today, the HDNL tracker still says 'parcel data received'!!xxx Nikki xxx0
