Hi, I dont mind what we do monthly or 100 days its all good to me. Ive pretty much resigned myself to not buying anymore beauty, haircare, makeup etc until Ive used my extensive stash. I think the monthly challenge would be better tho for exercise/abstaining from coke etc as 100 days seems soooo long.

I finished another Organic care shampoo, not sure if u get this in the UK but its from the supermarket and quite cheap and has no nasties in it and is quite effective. Ive already decided for my birthday i want some Moo Goo facial moisturier and vitamin C serum. Has anyone(which unfortunately is in September lol) used the Elizabeth Grant vitamin C and if so any thoughts? Also has anyone tried the L'Occitane Shea Cotton Ultra Comforting Cream and the mask?

Ohh! Didn't realise it was the last day tomorrow!

This means we had better pledge an amount of days to abstain from buying the problem items

eg 31 days pledged for NBT - 31 days Not Buying Toilettries

Happy to report finishing off a Smashbox Halo Powder that I thought would never end as I've had it for ages - yeah! It's gone and I'm onto the next half finished pwder foundation now from Philosophy - actually it's more than half used so this is next to use up. Then 2 stocks are gone and I can finally get back to the BE powders of which I have 5 or 6 foundations :o

  • Can't think of a good title for the challenge but I think a month at a time is best, starting on March 1st? Or we can do a mini-one in the meantime to fill in the gap! Same principle as this, no buying etc etc but just a month instead of 100 days.

Of course! We need to come up with a good name! What could it be?

I think starting the 1st March is a good idea too. I will test my own strenght and willpower to remain good inbetween challenges.

Can I do it? Yes I can! :D

Also don't want to buy any chocolate/sweets for myself...but that's a much more difficult challenge!!!!:rotfl:

  • Hi all,

I'm a lurker and have only recently started posting - have just read this thread and am really keen to join you all - desperately trying to cut back in most areas to pay off debts, get better with money and have fun along the way! Just a shame there's a 9 day gap when I'm so motivated just now - Hope I don't fall off the wagon as I get paid this tuesday!! When is the thread starting up? I'd love to stick down the things I want to do for the month so that I've (sort of) made a contract with myself before my wages come in?!

Looking forward to blethering with you all in March!

    Heather x :-)
