Can choose mixed or all reds/whites. Says can cancel plan at any time. I always find their wines to be v. drinkable.

This is a great thread as always on the lookout for good but cheap wine.

    Thanks x

My current fav is the South African brand Stormhoek, priced at £4.99 for the Pinotage or the Cabernet Sauvigon. The Pinotage is currently on sale in Tesco at £3.99, and this brand is currently well promoted so the special prices tend to crop up quite frequently.

Got to agree with you; (also like the basic Tesco South African Red @ £3.07 a bottle but the Stormhoek is 'tastier'). Incidentally, if you order the Stormhoek from Tesco Wine by case it comes down a little to £3.79 a bottle, I think. Free delivery for orders £99+

I'm just finishing off a bottle of Sainsbury's Basics Spanish Rose at the princely sum of £2.53 a bottle.

I'm not a fan of the pink stuff but it's actually OK. Not strongly flavoured but pleasant enough and an absolute bargain at the price.
  • Asda has a good 3 for £15 deal on at the moment. This includes boxed Jacobs Creek sparking Pinot Noir - white or Rose - normal price £8.98 - a lot better than most cheap Cavas and dare I say it - almost as good as Champers - you'd be hard pressed to tell.

This offer also includes a decent Cotes de Rhone and Montana Sauvignon Blanc. They are also doing Chateau vin du Papys for £7 a bottle - normal price £15.96 !!!

What has happened to this thread and what has happened to Tesco three for a tenner offers? Has anyone tried any of the Tesco (vouchers to spend) sub-£3.30 wines as I am on a serious economy drive? :money:
