:mad:This company have been pulling this scam for a long time. They just change the presentation slightly each time. The lies just stay the same. More details are posted on holidaywatchdog.com ,Shakespeare holidays is this a scam. I signed up in October 2009 and i have not paid the finance to Barclays. Several phone calls and letters later, they are still chasing me for the money. If anyone wants to start a action group or take it to the newspapers, i am more then happy to contribute any evidence i may have.

if u go onto the website that we published last night {timeshare org uk}and report anything u have they are building a case against this company. we spoke to them yesterday and they want everybit of info u have.
they will advise u what to do next.
they have also told us to report them to your local trading standards because if alot of people report them then they have to take action and look into their operation

all the best and lets get rid of these ......
  • Could anyone tell me if i turn up and say no to everything, do we still get the promotional holidays they are offering?
  • We too have signed up recently, August 2010, and have subsequently realised our mistake. Put us on the list of complainants who will do something about this
  • dont bother going
i would not even give them the time of day anymore

if we had the choice now , we would watch the X-Factor !!

    regards

Possibly, possibly not. If Shakespeare are not total frauds, the likelihood is you will get a voucher.

Such vouchers tend to have strings attached (their choice of airport and resort, probably at very short notice, is typical) that make them virtually unusable.
  • Good news: the £10 voucher you get to cover travel costs is valid - we used it today!

Bad news: everything else! The phonecall we received was from Stride Forward, which didn't ring any warning bells when we Googled them. But everything else was as described previously. Fortunately, we didn't fall for it, and having since done some research on the internet, we are feeling very relieved. We've contacted Trading Standards in both Warwickshire and Exeter (home of Sugar Reef Travel Club), and will NOT be taking advantage of our 'free' holiday!

mmm yes - heard of this (or a similar) outfit. Canal boat timeshare falls outside the scope of timeshare sales regulation so you lose what little protection you have.
on 16th june 2006 a court ruled that canalboats were to be regulated under the 1992 timeshare act. even though a late appeal was lodged, it was struck out. A further appeal was lodged in october 2006. this also failed in january 2007. a mr jackson took them to court and won his case and all costs.look on timeshare.org website.
