    hi all

not been on for a while, had no news and my mum passed away, xmas eve, so, anyway, i had a letter from the fos today, 27/1/09, just saying they have had no reply from lloyds, for information they wanted, but it is now going to an adjudicator, but it will take another 2 months, this has been with them now, since feb,2009!!!, anyone out there like me, this is to do with ppi, and the roll over of 3 loans with ppi, please quote back, all help appreciated on this

    Hiya Sharon and welcome back.

So sorry about your mum hun and its understandable its been a very difficult time for you, I send you all my love. XXX

Lloyds ignored my hubby's at first as well, so it was then moved on to an ombudsman, email them every few weeks for an update.
Sharon if your in any financial hardship, let them know and ask if they could consider fast tracking.;)
Hope you hear sooner rather than later with a good outcome.

Not sure if they will separate the 3 loans within the FOS, sometimes they do and other times they don't.
They will let you know when the times comes, when they have been passed on to an adjudicator.

Normally if you had a loan after another with the same bank, they sort of rebate it to a lower settlement amount and carry the rest over sort of thing.

Sharon, please remind me to save going back on older posts, did you request a Subject Access Request (SAR) from them?

Where they have 40 days to supply all the info they hold on you, if not this may be worth it, especially if you have taken out a few loans with them, and anything relating to PPI should be shown within the SAR, also calculations of settlements and new loans.

There is charge of £10 for this though payable by cheque or postal order, post as well by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.

well what happened with us, we claimed ppi on the last loan, they paid out on that one, but the ppi was over 7,000 pounds, but they only paid out around 900 pounds because, my oh got another job, but that job did not pay as much as before, so we were living on 90.00 per week, but the loan was 448.00 per month! just for that, so we got behind with the loan, and the mortgage, and the overdrafts, so they put us in collections where we have been since 2006, still paying interest, but lower payments, so we are behind, but what i want the fos to look at is, because from, 2002, my oh had 3 loans each loan had 7 to 8,000 pounds ppi so, say we paid the loan incl ppi for 2 years, we then took out a loan to pay one off then took out a loan to reset another, so in the end we have ended up paying over 21,000 pounds in ppi alone, plus the interest to borrow the money for the ppi, which if we claimed a full year on we could never get this money back, none off this has never been explain to us, we are in debt just because of the ppi, even though it is there for when you need it, but it does not cover you, for like us a lower paid job, and can not pay this ppi no longer, we are behind with the loan, and if we tried to make a claim we could not now anyway, because if you go behind with the ppi or the loan you can't paclaim anyway, so the 95.00 pounds a month from 2006, has been still going on but! they have not stopped it , we only know this now, in 2010, so most of the arrears, is because of this, 95.00 pounds per month, we have asked them, to put us back into the position we would be in if, we did not have the ppi in the first place, this was very expensive, we were never told we could look for cheap ppi we were told we would not get the loan without ppi each time, the first loan was for 15,000 6,800 was for ppi, then paid that down to say 8,000, so the second loan was for 8,000 to clear that loan, then more ppi say 6,700 so we are up to 14,700 before any new money, i think we had 6,000, anyway paid that one down to 10,000, so the third loan needs 10,000 pounds to clear, then more ppi 7,600 around that so we are up to 17,600 before any new money, from the first loan i got a rebate of 140.00 pounds thats all!!!, then the second one 234.00 thats all, and the third we claimed 900.00 pounds so they have had a lot of our money, the lloyds say the ppi was good for us, because they paid out, they won't put us back into the position we were in before we took out the ppi, on the other 2 we are asking the fos to look at the ppi on all three loans because, the lloyds are saying they want all the information we have, because it was 2002 for the first ppi they don't hold info that far back, but we do have it, and we have sent this to the fos, i now don;t know if this is the right thing od done, they have turned us down on the third loan, but not on the other two ppis, this has been going on since 2006, and feb 2009 with the fos, i have posted this because i hope it helps others not to do this with clearing one loan after another, and adding more ppi ,

Sorry Sha, I mis read on that.:o

That is just not on is it?
You have done the right thing then with the FOS..so let them sort it out now, Lloyds have had more than ample time of it haven't they?

When I requested a SAR from Lloyds over a year ago they did actually send me details as from the late 90's......
So it just shows they do sometimes hold info for longer than 6 years.

I'm sure this will all work in your favour Sharon, the FOS will consider everything.

declined on the last one, because they paid out, but also declined on the other 2 , because, they did not have any infomation on the loans, because they were from 2002, they asked us for the info, and to send it back to them, and we were to send it back within 7 days , and because we did not send the info back to them about the other 2 loans within 7 days, they were declined also, this is how the lloys have treated us, so have asked the fos to look into all three, hope i have done this correct? what do you think, any advice welcome
