Just a reminder for those that may not know 'Kirsty's Home Christmas' is on C4 8pm tonight - a series of 3 - the first one was on last night - where she decorates her holiday cottage  with xmas decorations she has made 'herself'. ;)

May have some simple ideas we can use...

    This is the C4 link:

Oh, tonight's theme is gifts and yesterdays was decorations. Still, if you missed it last night you can see what she made.

I got Elizabeth shaw chocolates on B.O.G.O.F (the round foil ones)

Saw online somewhere someone had made them into tree decorations, sandwiching them between gold card then putting a festive picture on the front and a gold thread loop - so going to make those instead of buying the same old tree chocs.

I made these with the gold chocolate coins and these with the mints and these

The first lot to hang on the tree the 2nd lot I have made some table favours and the 3rd lot to pop into teachers goodie bags

I've spotted this and really would like to have a go at it, I'm wondering how hard it would be to make the pine cone wreath. Any one have any ideas how to do it?

Well we did it, it wasn't so hard.. I got a wire wreath (it was from ikea and had red tinsel stuff on it.. I just took that off) then got some florist wire from my local cheap shop and tied on some pine cones that had been collected last year found them in a carrier in the shed!

Stole a hat from a friend and got some gloves (2 pairs for £1) in primark. two red bows from the 99p shop (only used one)

Thought I'd bump up this thread from last year as people are looking for Christmas ideas...

Lots of decorative ideas for wrapping presents and making decorations on the Hobbycraft website. You don't always have to use the materials they suggest, for a cheaper option, shop around or use what you have. :money:

Thanks for this, I've made a couple this morning and my family are asking me to make some for them as well.

Yes you can :) Kirsty did this on her home made home series last year - it should still be on the website if you google it (or I'll have a look when small person has gone to bed for you)

    :)

I want to do a set of letters like she did spelling out MERRY CHRISTMAS and decorate in reds, greens and gold glitter :) Or silver blue and white - I haven't decided yet LOL!
