I got Elizabeth shaw chocolates on B.O.G.O.F (the round foil ones)
Saw online somewhere someone had made them into tree decorations, sandwiching them between gold card then putting a festive picture on the front and a gold thread loop - so going to make those instead of buying the same old tree chocs.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. My first post on this thread, hope someone finds it useful!
I received a copy of 'Natural Collection' today (an ethical gift company). There is a lovely felt christmas wreath that I think would be very easy to make. I can't post links as I'm a newbie but if you google 'natural collection felt wreath' it is the first link.0 -

I made this 'stocking garland' from small pieces of different coloured felt. I made a stocking template out of card and cut out about 15 - 20 stockings. Then I cut out different shapes (stars, hearts, snowmen etc) to decorate each stocking. I used some wool to connect it all together. It's lasted about 4 christmas's. I think I'll probably make some more this year. A nice simple craft for kids to do too.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0

I've been a little glitter crazy this year!
Made these for the children's xmas tree:
(Awaiting gold thread for fixing to tree)
The idea was from a Usborne children's craft book and they were made from bread! This is them before decoration:
You just cut them out of the bread using cookie cutters, dry them out overnight and then paint them using a pva/paint mixture. Glue on lots of glitter and sequins and there you have it. Sparkle, sparkle.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -

Love these, am definitely going to try them!
Here are some of the little knitted decorations I made for the tree last year:
I have also made some cross stitch ones filled with festive scented pot pourri from a kit, I haven't got a picture of them though.
Here are some cross stitch hangers that my mum made for us:
And we always have paper chains etc made by the kids (seen here with some festive food!):
Ooh I feel really festive now looking back at the old pics!0 -
I'm making reindeer candy canes. Got 12 candy canes for £1 and I already have the eyes, pompoms and pipe cleaners.

Paper chains! My sister and I used to spend hours making ones that went all the way round the house!0
