Hi!

We are all in the same boat on this board and I reckon the collective knowledge on here is second to none! So I thought it might be useful to see what the best tip you have picked up from this site has been so far this year? The one that has had the biggest influence on the success of your debt free journey.

Mine is making small but regular payments - doesn't seem like much but really makes a differnce to the overall total.

What's yours? I shall try to keep a list on front page for ease of reference!

Meal planning, we used to just eat whatever or spend a fortune on takeaways and eating out and this has cut down a lot lately :)
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

Saving £2 coins in a sealed pot! :T

TBH, saving small amounts/PAD'ing generally but the £2 coin thing is the one that's had the most influence :D

  • Paying off something each day, before lunchtime so that I don't spend it on rubbish. Best thing I've ever done and I'm even sad enough to enjoy making a daily payment and watching the total come down bit by bit. :D
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
