    Ah.. missed that. :o

Mind you, if I have to buy an air pump, isn't that a cost?

Like previous posts have said , there could be damage to the rims . Legally a crime should be put in and the damage assessed. If no damage to the car no crime. Damage = crime Simples :D

Leaving a car sitting on a flat tyre will damage the sidewalls of the tyre.

Set fire to any car that parks outside your house - they'll soon get the message.

    what a stupid post
  • They have no rights to.

Or they have as much right to as anyone else.
We have a similar issue, living in a terraced street next to the town centre, we are the closest parking space to the shops where you don't have to pay.

We live in an end terrace where you can easily get two cars parked directly in front. However many of the people who park in front of our house park right in the middle, meaning they effectively take up two parking spaces for themselves.

Now I recognise they have as much right to park there as anyone else, but at least do it with some consideration!!

Well as the post about damage to rims was mine, that was kinda my point, yes.

  • We used to have the same problem living on the end of the tube line and everyone arrived in the morning and parked for the day. We were lucky because we had a hard standing at the side of our house. Our neighbour took drastic action after he'd left his car at home and walked to work. The way people had parked meant that there was a tiny gap and someone blocked his car in and then left a snotty note saying he should be more considerate with his parking and leave a proper parking space. He wrote a polite reply said his car had been there all night and should they want to park there, they're more than welcome to come at 9pm. He got some 2 tacs and 'stored' them next to the guys front tyre. He propped the tac one at the front and one at the back. It is a little out of order, but he didn't actually damage the tyre or car. The guy got a slow puncture and arrived the following day to find a very flat tyre. It took a breakdown truck 50mins on a Friday night to change his tyre! Not saying I agree with it, but I can understand why people get passionate about parking issues.

  • I too live in a terraced street near a park and it winds me up no end on a Sunday when I go out and then can't get park outside my house because of all the people parking to play football on the park. But i just park my car outside someone else's house until they've gone.
Years ago there was a lady in the street who would not allow anyone to park in front of her house. If she went out and came back to find someone parked outside her house, she would just sit in her car in the middle of the street beeping her horn until whoever it was moved their car. Once when she did it, someone called the police who warned her about 'obstructing the highway' and public nuisance but she still did it.
