Wasn't being sarcastic, was meaning that there's going to be an awful lot of angry people if they each receive a cable which they have to return at their cost.

  • if it arrieves i was on phone to index today, as they have done same taken money out of account, and they have said i ordered a cable, when i said it was clearly a printer and confirmation email says printer they said they were aware, but that is was a website mistake but they still sent the cables any way but no printer.

so i asked what i can do they kindly replied sent cable back (at my cost) and they would refund money
i am at witts end i do not no where to turn can anyone help
see what trading standards say about it after all it's false advertising
  • Can you not refuse delivery of the parcel on the grounds that what they sent wasn't what you ordered ?

    I've got a screenshot saved.
But if it is a printer cable and they know that, I wish they'd just rang and told me then I would have cancelled the order.
I suppose all will be revealed on Monday.
  • I really hope its not a cable!
Obviously I'll be able to tell when its delivered but what happens if I refuse delivery? will it just get sent back to index and I get refunded?

EDIT: Just checked the link again and I'd of thought if it was a cable they would of amended it by now!
  • Don't stress yourself out too much, there's not too much to worry about. If they've confirmed and acknowledged your order and then taken the funds then surely they are obliged to deliver the item, or.....it's nearest equivalent! If you order an item instore and it is out of stock they offer you an alternative don't they?

i am one of these people that if you get a deal then you get a deal, if its an error then fair enough.

but when they are being so strange about this i mean it clearly states on link it is printer, and if it was a misprint and was meant to be cable and they were aware of this why send the cables out. It is one of the wierdest things i have ever encountered and i will certainly not be doing business with them again

If it is a cable, it's a very expensive cable at £99. What's it made of Pure gold ::)

    Yep, rip off
  • Out of curiosity, if anyone has current/older Index catalogues at home could they look up the codes 110-085 and 110-185 and see what they reveal.

One of the codes may be on a PC accessories page (cables)?
