You know, if everyone just ignored PhilUK which is about as much as he deserves, then he'd get no satisfaction from trying to wind people up. And if he did still get some kind of satisfaction with absolutely no-one responding to his posts, then that would just indicate that there's not a lot else going on in his sad little life.
So how about we start now ;D
Indeed. Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do about people trying to order 4000 of an item for their own benifit and to sell on at 100 times the price. It is annoying, but there will always be at least one person who does.
Should really only order what you need for prezzies/yourself or, if you do want to make a profit, buy just 1 or 2 to sell on, not 100. It is unlikely that you will get it as all you will get is an e-mail saying "out of stock" and make the seller suspicious of what is going on ::)Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Get the impresion Index dont know what they are doing.
I get told its definitley a leed thingy, do I want still , err NO. Then others (good luck everyone be, nice to see people get em ) are getting printer confirmation emails ??? . Then printer comes up outa stock on website.............. THEN it came back up in stock later last night..... ordered again see if I can get the printer email this time; bet I get another message to phone em on answer phone asking if I have changed my mind about leed thingy. Still its more interesting n watching telly in the evening.
I actualy find Phils posts ammusing , or rather the responces. Phil lays the trap , or in this case a Wall of printers/ leed thingys for people to walk into, hides for cover and waits for the clatter. ( yeah I know I do have a wierd sence of humour )Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.0 -

I don't think you can use this as an ordinary printer, can you? ???
Babbler, it is an ordinary printer that will print photo quality if you replace the black cartridge with special photo cartridge (#59) that prints greys ( or different shades of black.)
I think I know why this is cheap.
If you look in their catalogue, p408 , the HP 7260 is item 110-185 at £89.
On page 362 the same printer is £99, as item 110-085.
If you were shopping instore which one would you buy?, hence thanks to a clerical error they would be left with a lot of stock of the dearer one, and the reduction will be to get rid before new catalogue stock arrivesLets hope no one tells them :-[
Alternatively or a combo, it could be part of a digicam/printer offer that went wrong.

Remember that the ink cartridges you get with a printer are normally a special size - i.e. less ink than you'd expect. You can't buy these cartridges in the shops.0

Index have just told me that it's being looked into by a supervisor as a possible price mistake..... here we go - I didn't set the alarm bells ringing by the way, I was very devious, didn't give them any info, they just offered me that answer0

This is the same as Tesco/Woolies - Money has been taken, confirmation sent saying will be delivered in 48 hours - I don't think they can change it now and get away with it ::) We shall see...Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0

I ordered 2 of these printers yesterday for home delivery and i had an email seconds later to say that a confirmation email will follow. I got this email only 1/2 an hour ago to say that they were out of stock and the order would be cancelled.
