Thanks for the replies, I'm not a new customer at ING as I've got a couple of quid in there from last time their interest dropped.
Back to Ulster though - Just called to check the rate on my Pathfinder, I applied 16th Dec before the rate drop, phoned and was assured that I would get the 3.6% rate. The account date is now showing as after the rate drop, and of course they are trying to give me the lower rate. I've gone as far as possible with customer services, now awaiting call back (Ho Ho!) Of course I should have got their promise in writing
Edit. They called back! They will honour the 3.6% - great. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
My experience with UB - I withdrew the balance down to a nominal amount using faster payments, then requested closure via 1st class post. Received my cheque back exactly a week after sending.
My money has been reinvested in Coventry & West Brom @ 3.3% and 3.0% respectively.0 -

In my experience - yes - UB will only let you FP £10k out per day.0

Thanks, The Cov. website is a pain, you have to search each account individually. Can you say which is the 3.3 please. Is it instant access?
Tell me about it - I hate banks/building societies which do not have all their rates viewable on one page.
The account I have is 1st Class Postal Issue 3 - which is now a closed issue: http://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/savings/ProductFeatures.aspx?ProdCode=1CP3
Unfortunately, issue 4 is also now closed, and there doesn't seem to be an open issue (as far as I can see).0 -
Does anyone have a link showing the current (2.6%?) interest rate? I can't find any trace of the account on their website.

Found it - ignore.0
