Is the top to stop anyone messing with you? I went in the lane ends a bit back, talk about rough!

Yes it's a complete dive is the Lane Ends! We run past it most nights with run club and often get the drunken smoking idiots outside shouting stuff at us.

It feels great to have a club vest, I feel like I belong now! :D

At first I wasn't sure if it was just because they were refurbishing, but then a few of the regulars tried talking to us. Even the blokes we knew didn't stay long! Except for the band, and they were falling over themselves in their hurry to pack up and leave at the end!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Sally -
I've been doing that over the last couple of days. I cooked enough bolognaise for last night and then to use tomorrow night when I get back from class. I've added half a tin of beans skulking in the fridge and some chilli powder to turn it into a chilli. I've just cooked some rice so will pop that in the fridge soon and that's tomorrow night sorted.

Tuesday - stick potatoes, onions, browned off sausages, butternut squash and casserole mix (:o) in SC for when I get back Tuesday night.

Wednesday - I have agreed to invigilate 7-8pm  but have an hour after work to quickly make shepherds pie. OH always turns his nose up at shepherds pie but still gets through 2/3 of the dish of it like a swarm of locusts on their last supper.

Thursday - hmmm.....the freezer will now only have 1 packet of mince, 2 smoked haddock fishcakes and 1 chicken leg in it meat wise. I have plenty of lentils, rice, starchy stuff and there's a jar of 4p curry sauce lurking in the cupboard so probably keema with the mince.

Friday - Will probably roast the chicken leg for OH with spices on, I'll have the fishcakes and will do lots of potato wedges. If the tub of mushrooms is still looking useable, that will be the vegetables.

Saturday may be crumble for breakfast, lunch and dinner as I have 4 tubs of stewed plums to use up along with a tub of custard!!

I have £13 to claim back from petty cash tomorrow from ingredients bought for class (coconut ice anyone ;)) so I can get bread and milk from the shop for breakfasts. I've got some cup a soups I can have for lunch and some small tubs of stew in the freezer to dip toast in each day when I pop home.

I still have 60 euros to exchange - I'm going to do that next Saturday and then use it for the shopping, for as much of the month as I can.

I am determined not to go overdrawn this month - my first month after becoming debtfree and my first month of a full salary in 2.5 years.

It's gonna be close though

    Good evening!

I'm really touched, I was talking to Mr Sunday about needing something cool for my bedroom wall, and he has come up with a gorgeous black and white photo that he took at the Yorks Sculpture Park a few months ago. He's a very good photographer, and I know it's only a photo, but it's so thoughtful and personal. He would be such a lovely friend if only I didn't feel more than friendship for him.

Run club sounds good Linda. There is nothing near me that's suitable, and I'm beginning to wonder how much work would be involved in starting my own running club. I might just see if I can get a few people interested in an informal 'meet once a week and run' type thing at first.

this is it Linda - OH swans in (10pm is his normal time lately  ) and scoffs at me when I say I'm tired. I get 'how come?'

    'HOW BLEEDIN' COME?'

    aaaaaaaaarggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Does he think all the housework and the shopping does itself? My teaching planning magically appears? My full time office job is gone to? My teacher training work is done? My learners are taught? The food mysteriously appears on the plate by itself? AQA types itself?!

Yeah, he'll be first to be munching down the cast off edges of coconut ice I made this morning and the rejected shortbread biscuits that I'm taking to class tomorrow night to show them how it looks bagged and biscuits iced and decorated

    How bleeding come.........my arris........

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
