LMC, that's what I was thinking.

Next time I'm tempted to help my sister can someone remind me she's an ungrateful little cow who doesn't deserve it. This is three times now I've asked things on here on her behalf, and she's just said she knows best and doesn't give a stuff. I don't care for me, it's just that it's wasting other people's time on here, and tying the boards up when people are really needing help and willing to take advice.

Seriously thinking about not going to her graduation now, but I suppose that's a bit petty.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Ames, I think you are right - you should take a step back from the advice, it's the only way she will learn to stand on her own two feet. If she makes mistakes, she will learn from them eventually.

Go to her graduation though, for the simple reason that you will regret it if in 20 years time she has sorted herself out and you have a close relationship. If she is still a cow, you wont regret going, but if she is a lovely, reliable, mature person (well, you never know... :)), you might regret missing it.

Back from our remembrance day parade! It was colder out there than I had realised and didn't really dress accordingly.

For some reason one of the servicemen had a pony, which kept neighing and scaring the children and making the adults laugh! Not sure why it was there really.

  • Elfin, poor you. You certainly made the right choice sleeping on the sofa, I'd hate to think what aromas would have greeted you during the night and in the morning!

Ames - a bit of creativity in cooking is always a good thing.

I'm with Snaggles abotu going to your sisters graduation, you will live to regret it in several years time.

  • It must be the day for sisters being annoying.

I am swinging between fury and resignation.

they (sis and bf) came round to do some painting (I am also doing some painting next weekend) and the performance was unbelievable! ooo what if this happens what if that happens blah blah blah. every single tiny decision was angonised over - I handled this quite well but then we got talking about Mum and how much food she buys and how it all goes to waste (as I have said before) and I said yes, we have had stand up rows about it as we throw fridgefuls aways most weeks and it makes me furious. Sis said Mum had given her some biscuits and they were out of date (by months) and so she binned them but she never said anything to my Mum, its always ME who has to remind/ask/virtually bully Mum about all sorts of things (the boiler, the cars, the heating, and food shopping and most importantly her health) she just gets to swan in and be the perfect bloody daughter. I get sick of being the bad guy of always being the one who puts her foot in it. I did say why didn't you say anything? and she said, oh no it would have upset her. right. so you know there is a problem(again) and yet you are not prepared to do anything about it. Great thanks for the support. You stupid idiot.

I love my Mum and I just want her to be happy and safe, yet I spend so much of my time questioning and bugging her I feel terrible. I was even bullying her on the phone last night about the bloody car tax.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Hugs Buffy, it sounds really tough.

Snaggs, you're right, I will go. I'm not going to the actual ceremony or drinks afterwards, just going down there so I can see her on the day. I couldn't afford the tickets. But we'll probably go for a meal with me her and dad the night before. And I might go to the drinks thing because mum doesn't like social situations where she doesn't know anyone (it seems her daughter and ex husband don't count). Families eh.
