  • Your ancestors could not afford a house. Only 100 years ago, 90% of housing was owned by the top 10% of society. And families lived 6 or 8 people to a room.

Grow up, and stop being so ignorant.

What you doing? Trying to prove my point for me?

    George Osbourne
George Gideon Oliver Osborne[1] (born 23 May 1971) is a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom, and has been the Member of Parliament for Tatton since 2001. He is currently Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. He is heir to the Osborne baronetcy of Ballentaylor, County Tipperary, Ireland.[2] This makes him a member of what is known in Ireland as the Ascendancy, the old Anglo-Irish aristocracy.

Yes I'm sure his ancestors worked real hard. And you a celt. Shame on you. Do you still resent that poor person living on a housing estate their satdish?

Well I'm glad you think the idea of 5 million unemployed is something to make jokes about.

Yes, shame, poor thing. He had to take down the for-public-image wind turbine, too...

Can't anyone see the problem ?

We have had conservative governments and we've had labour governments for the past 70 odd years.

One lot is uppossedly on the side of business and the other lot are supposedly on the side of the people.
Yet, as we stand toay, businesses are f*cked and individuals are f*cked.

    Go figure.

The problem is we have no real choice left in where we cast our vote. We want our vote to mean something we are pushed, inevitably, towards the two main parties.

Both parties have completely abandoned their traditional values and, as a by-product, left us, the voter with no place to go. Thatcher and Blair have a great deal to answer for.

I dont want a huge whack of my wages keeping him two doors up on the disability when he is out working on the black economy.

I equally dont want any child in this country going without a decent roof over her head or a decent pair of shoes for her feet.

I grudge every penny for the first and would gladly pay more towards the latter.

I think we, as a nation, have been, and are being, badly let down by those who are supposed to know better.

If someone, anyone, could at least offer me a sliver of hope for a fairer future for me and mine, I'd be out manning the barricades for them tomorrow.

    I agree.

Nevertheless, your choice in such circumstances should still be clear - vote for the party which you think has the better record on the whole for fighting the cause of the common person rather than out to benefit a narrow, self-declared elite.

That, surely, would represent some idea of decency.

    There is an alternative.

And every politician either knows it and are lying to you or they don't know and are stupid.

i don't want my taxes wasted either but this has happened to the last generation and the generation before that. it has always happened and will always happen. we don't really have much choice.

either we ride with it and make the most of what we have or we sucked into all the negativity that does us no good whatsoever.

the only people that no better are ourselves.

And that is where the real problem lies.

They aren't stupid. Mostly they are extremely bright people who are so mired in self interest and seeking power for it's own sake that they have forgotten or are ignoring what politics and public service is supposed to be about.
