The harsh truth about Tory policies

i don't want my taxes wasted either but this has happened to the last generation and the generation before that. it has always happened and will always happen. we don't really much.
either we ride with it and make the most of what we have or we sucked into all the negativity that does us no good whatsoever.
the only people that no better are ourselves.

it may sound like a weak argument but i always believe that there are people worse off than us and we should be grateful for what we have. i really mean that - we are very lucky we live in the UK. we could be better though but it's what we have.0 -
And that is where the real problem lies.
They aren't stupid. Mostly they are extremely bright people who are so mired in self interest and seeking power for it's own sake that they have forgotten or are ignoring what politics and public service is supposed to be about.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man.
Where is our Obama?
F*ck.
You were doing well there until you got to the Obama bit."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

Can't anyone see the problem ?
We have had conservative governments and we've had labour governments for the past 70 odd years.
One lot is uppossedly on the side of business and the other lot are supposedly on the side of the people.
Yet, as we stand toay, businesses are f*cked and individuals are f*cked.
Go figure.
It's not that I don't think that you have a point. It's just that I get sick of posters kicking poor people who have nothing, whilst saying nothing about the massive rich elite in this country (and beyond). Pointless picking on the little man for having a sat dish when the nobles have claimed most of Britain as there's.A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

I think that's a good way to be. And we should be considerate of other people's opinions, and just generally be nice.
It's hard to always be like that though.
i'm always considerate, caring and in touch with other peoples emotions.
i bet you know who mewbie is................................... :rolleyes:0 -

I hate the patriotic card, it is so American but I honestly believe the British people are the fairest, most long suffering SOBs on the planet.
I know there are umpteen millions of people worse off than me. I just really resent that a great many of them are children and living on the same island as I am.
This should not be what I am taxed to the hilt for.
Nearly New scoffed at my mentioning Obama but at least he believes in something and is doing his level best to improve things.

OK, how long does this game go on for? Do you do it to all posters who sign up? Is it an initiation ceremony, so the new ones know who the big boys are? Am I supposed to remember your names more easily or something?
don't worry we're only messing - welcome anyway.

Yes, he believes in peace so much that he was given a "nobel award" for it.
Despite inflaming the war in Afghanistan, starting a war in Pakistan, re-endorsing the policy of imprisonment without trial and continuing to sanction the torture of unconvicted prisoners.
And he wants to help the little people so much that he continues to employ the very same people that Bush used to shaft us and lead the western world into financial and social oblivion.

Most of the sockie thing is really good natured. They make it plain straight away or at least within a few posts who they really are.
Honestly who the frakk do you think you are kidding?
