Victoria London Make up Scam?

Next time, ask them 'are you on the B.U.A.V* approved list....?' Wait for blank look from vendor. Then say you only buy from companies that don't test on animals & you know for a fact they are NOT on the list! (*British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection).0

We've had them in the WH Smiths in York too - right next to the doors! Didn't really have £30 to spend on make up (I have plenty to tide me over for about 10 years I think!) but she wasn't giving up - put the lip gloss on my hand to show me the shimmer and the fact that it "....wasn't sticky like other lip glosses". Nice. I actually don't tend to wear it on my hands though.
Eventually got away!0 -
These jokers tried it on with me the other day in the high street I had read about these so called 'professional products' on MSE and other sites. Some smary salesman literally threw himself in front of me and started talking to me in the same manner you would address a child, describing all the fantastic benefits of some manky looking make up brushes and I calmly enquired that if Victoria Jackson was such a successful make up artist to the stars why were they flogging her products for £30 outside a pound shop in the street? Oddly enough he seemed totally stumped for an answer. Walked away sniggering.
Childish but fun.

I can't believe I've fallen for this one. I don't use lip glosses especially ones tasting and smelling of mint. I don't use bronzes. I didn't need any makeup. How did it happen? I even gave them my credit card details which they wrote on a piece of paper. I've had to cancel my credit card and am waiting for a new one. Why does WH Smith allow them to operate from their stores?0

im so annoyed at myself, i fell for this at central station at the weekend!! i know i should have known better but the young man selling it was so convincing...i recognised the girl he was with from my local town so thought it would be ok! i paid £30 for a kit, 3 lipgloss, eye shadow quad and bronzing brush...i thought the kit would come in handy for when i go on hols later in the year!i normally buy benefit/mac make up so thought this was reasonable at the time.
i have tried the mascara and thought it was quiet good and i did like the smell of the lipgloss. i havent had a chance to test the products but i thought the book that come with it full of make up tips was quite good as well!i found a few other sites which claim it is cheap make up made in china..i hope i dont end up coming out in a rash! i used my card to pay for this as well (another stupid thing..what can i say it was early and i was half asleep!) , i have the recipet and everything looks above board. i will keep and eye out on online banking too see if they take any other cash out, im hoping they dont as i used a chip and pin machine.
i will never be this niave again...next time i get hassled im going to say well actually i bought some and i ended up in a rash lol!!0 -
I've got some of this stuff and I quite like it. I usually use Urban Decay, Benefit, Lancome and Bare Escentuals.0

Someone stopped me near my workplace, only this time she told me she'd just been to Sainsbury's head office and they were going to sell through there. It was odd as I wasn't walking close to a shopping centre or anything other than sandwich shops, so it was more confusing than anything. She didn't follow me but tried to continue her pitch when I said 'no thanks' and left her there.
It *is* a scam if they are claiming that these products normally sell at a price for which they do not, and it's easy for them to mislead younger customers who perhaps aren't as savvy as others.0 -
Hi, I bought some of this stuff today and the seller did make me feel like I was getting fab value for money - all this stuff for £30 which usually retails for over £150, and she's collaborating with Bobbi Brown and MAC? Wow, I thought. I was going to inform my aunt about this "great offer" but thought I'd Google it first to make sure it was a reputable name (utterly stupid I know, seeing as the £30 has already left my wallet). She is usually very savvy on this kind of thing, so just thought I'd check, though having seen all this I think I'll keep quiet; I may get a lecture on how naive I was to get "scammed" so easily :-(0

I was in Debenhams today and bought some of this Victoria Jackson make up from a stand in there. I paid for it at the normal Debenhams till and I can take it back if I want to. Does this mean that it is true and they are going into the department stores or have I been scammed?
I'm really confused about this brand, there seems to be so many bad stories that I have found since I bought the product that I don't know if I should just take it back...help!!!0 -

How were you scammed? You picked up the items from a shelf/display, decided to buy them, and proceeded to pay for the items at the till."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
