Victoria London Make up Scam?

I usually consider myself reasonably savvy with this stuff, so I'm pretty annoyed with myself. The stuff is awful - like the fake make up children use. The only half decent bit is a shimmer brush and a couple of random eyeshadows - I'd probably pay a fiver for those(together). But genuinely, DO NOT BUY.
They sell real hard, and I should have known it was a con - but I had just been paid, and my money flows almost immediately as soon as I realise that.
Stick to the rule: If it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is.0 -
Also, if like me you did fall for it DO NOT use the mascara. It's like black glue.0

I've set up a facebook page about it, because loads of people are selling it on there too.
Also, check beaut.ie on the subject0 -

They were outside WH Smiths in Newcastle this morning and tried to get me to buy it. My daughter was more interested in me as she loves make up, but she's only two so I didn't buy it for her

I've seen them a few times at Central Station in Newcastle. They must have become more mobile now0 -
In Newcastle they are A) outside of WHsmiths - which makes them seem more reputable yes? and
Outside of TKMaxx in Monument mall.
They used to stop me EVERYDAY without fail on my way to work (at a shop that sells a wide range of makeup!) and i'm in my clear uniform, and try and sell me it.
I once said to the girl I have no money, and she went on to say but how about as a present for someone are they not worth 30 pounds? I genuinely had no money and said 'Look love, if I'm struggling to pay my rent this month I'm not gonna be spending 30 pounds on make up!
They are very hard sell as are the ones that sell you makeup/skin care products from the trollies in the MetroCentre.
Their line is 'What kind of make up do you use' - I always say 'I don't wear make-up' even if I have it on and it's a blatant lie. It confuses them!!Professional Photographer with a love of bargain hunting.. Been a moneysavingexpert since 2006 :-D

They've moved to Durham as well. They were in the Gates shopping centre - at the crossroads bit next to Clinton Cards, Evans and Savers, and there were two blokes selling it.
I purposely gave them a wide berth to avoid them, but it was quiet and the man came over and stood right in front of me, blocking my way. He started his pitch and I butted in and said firmly "no thanks, I'm not interested" and went to move round him but he blocked me again and wouldn't let me past
I said "look, I'm not interested in buying random make up from men in the street" and he started his pitch about how professional it was blah blah blah, still blocking me so I couldn't get past. I just had to barge past him rudely and kept walking, while he hurled an insult at me
Here I go again on my own....0 -
How awful was that guy Becles! Yep, they've landed in Liverpools central station so I've noticed. They have a very nice professional looking stand and lots of women were buying last time I passed them - not surprising. Glad I know it's a bit dodgy now, I won't be tempted to touch em with a bargepole!0

I think they are deffo using WHsmith as a way to look more professional.
Maybe we should write to Smiths and find out more info and also let them know that VJ is bringing their company down by having them in the doorway!!Professional Photographer with a love of bargain hunting.. Been a moneysavingexpert since 2006 :-D
