Good luck Obi, we'll miss you while you're internet-less. Just be careful bending down to clean the oven - you may not get back up again!

OH will find me rolling around the kitchen floor crying and unable to turn myself the right way round. Luckily (?!) we have carpet in the kitchen, so nice and soft. Although I would dearly love to hunt down the person who came up with the idea of carpet in a kitchen, and get them to scrub all the bits of 'stuff' that get ground into it. Luckily it's gorgeous oak effect laminate in my new house.
Have I mentioned my new house?? No?? It's lovely, and scope to put our stamp on, and wonderful and more importantly OURS!!!!!This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Yup. got a mortgage like a real grownup!! I was all set to pay all my 'little' debts off, but then our landlord decided we were too much trouble (you know, wanting the damp sorting out, and having him actually do the stuff he's meant to do) and so he served an eviction notice. We sat down and decided that instead of put ourselves at the mercy of tosswads who think renting a house is an easy money maker (our last 4 landlords have been nightmares) we would have a look around and see what the possibility of buying would be like.
The next day we spotted a repo that was an absolute bargain. We worked out that by ebaying like mad we'd be able to get the deposit together, and so we went fo it. The searches pulled up something odd on the environmentals (basically the area was a landfill in the 70's) and so we've had a delay to the xtent our lease here is up, and we haven't completed yet, so we're off to FIL's for a week or so, and then back to Grimsby once the house has been exchanged, completed and cleaned. Not moving a 2 year old in until the electric and gas have been reconnected and everything has a good clean.
So yes, it;s ours, and I have enough stock left over to make a good dent in the debt before Ash arrives. So it's all good. Then I can do an Alii007 and target the mortgage! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Ash is due 12th December, he seems to be a happy little chap, odd wriggles every now and again, but no heartburn, backache (apart from the sciatica which may be epidural induced) or even loss of movement, except the whole getting-out-of-sofa thing.
Got a few little babygros in the bag, a pack of newborn nappies and the cashmere hat I knitted him. Still need the Kamisol (?) cream, as missed that very much the first few times of feeding DD! Then just need the bits and bobs to help through labour and a washbag - a crochet hook and a ball of wool did the trick last time, until I dropped the hook and couldn't get up to fetch it - on account of being left hooked up to some sort of machine for 7 hours Grrrr. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Obi I'm so pleased for you - hope the move goes well. We'll miss you while you are off line, but it doesn't sound as though it will be for long.
For some reason Natasha does look massive in that photo doesn't she - she doesn't look that big in 'real life', although she is growing sooooooo fast. She's trying to crawl for goodness sake  keeps drawing both knees up under her bum and pushing herself forwards. I keep telling her (very sternly) that I want her to stay tiny and sweet and helpless for as long as possible, but she just doesn't seem to be listening....lol!

Nope, you'll be forced to endure my hormone induced witterings within a few weeks. They certainly don't stay small - packing Ash's bag and seeing the clothes DD used to wear - this is a child who when trying on new boots ('want some like Daddy's' - Daddy wears cowboy boots) was a massive size 9.5 - 10!!!! Two and a half and feet like a yeti. The socks I knitted I could have sworn would swamp her, but they don't, and they're 7 inches long....This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. Kamillosan? I only found out about this the other day....a kind MSE'r told me about it when I mentioned that Natasha is teething, which is causing her to bite everything in sight, including me......there are places where no-one should have to suffer blisters! Lansinoh is another good one apparently."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

thats the one - kamillosan. Luckily the lass in the next bad had some when I went into hospital with DD. Worked a treat for me, not tried the other one. It's on the list to get put in the bag. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
