'fess up folks, what are you all really doing ;) ?

I'm all loved up, spending £10k on double glazing! It is for a 14-bedroom mansion in the highlands of Scotland though.....very O/S - beef, lamb, venison etc on the estate, fish from our loch, championship golf course behind the house for DF to entertain his friends Tiger, Monty & Padraig.

The only drawback is the visitors & the students....the local town hasn't been the same since that Prince William was at university there :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Awww thanks guys, you're all great.

Actually, I'm sitting here, on my throne of wool laughing at how I'm depriving the good people of scunny of their precious 99p acrylic. I'm drinking champagne with diamonds in the bottom of theglass and, eating a bedtime snack of roast suckling pig served on Orlando Blooms six-pack.

Daughter is peachy, getting a little madam, but loving the fact that she gets more time with Mummy now. Pregnavy going A1 - haven't even felt pregnant. Feeling it a bit now, if you want a laugh come over to mine and watch me trying to get out of my chair. Like watching an old person getting out of a beanbag.

Decided it was time to tackle the whole debt thing again, especially as it has stopped racking up now the Black Money Pit has closed. Bit like trying to shovel snow when it's still snowing!! Had a bit of a blow the other day as Halifax dragged their feet over OH's charges for 3 months (!!!), then turned round and said 'Oh, we have a test case going through right now, and we're suspending any action on outstanding cases - you'll have to wait'. Then promptly sent his overdrawn account (thanks to the bank charges) to Collections!! Beasts.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Thanks guys, good to be back. Had too much on to worry about money with the whole winding up thing - Ysabell might like to have a pop but it was a very difficult thing - no-one who walks into a shop sees the furious action behind it all, and getting everything tied up was really heartwrenching - you put so much of yourself into your business. But in the end I can say I tried, and didn't manage it. The important bit was the trying. And the not going bonkers.

And now, I'm down to around 10k, that isn;t counting a personal loan that's under dispute - Ex hubby had most of that money, but because they can't track him down they'd like me to pay for it all, so my amount is very likely to go up once we agree on a figure, but at least none of it has interest on it. Plus I've redone my budget like a good little creature, and come out £300 to throw at debt every month, so I'm in a really good position. The stock is going fast, thank goodness as the house buying thing has taken 2 additional surveys at £130 EACH!!! so having to make that back up before completion at the end of the month.

So once I get settled down, I'll repost me budget so you can help me hack it down even more.

  • hehe...when I came back I hardly recognised anyone other than a few diehards! See my diary for what happened in full but basically lost 4 1/2 stone; gave up smoking and spent a bomb on diet and had to buy 4 new wardrobes cos I went from a size 24 skirt to a size 12!! Back on track & being a good DFW & starting again but with lessons learned! Watching the news today though just makes me realise how lucky I am; it's just money after all & whats the worst that can happen eh! I'm happy & healthy & thats what counts! Good to see you back & doing so well!
