Hi Obi - I've loved your thread too and kept it bookmarked in case you came back - so pleased you have.
You are a very entertaining writer - I'm sure you have a potentially extremely lucrative career in that area. Forget the wool shop0 -

Oooh, hark at you lot. I'll get a big head you know.
Well, I suppose I can count today as the first day, all over again. Still, no point whinging, that's not going to make me oodles of lovely money, is it? So I got out my little organiser, put in all my totals again, and did my DFD calculations. March 2009 is the target now, at least it's before I'm 30. I suppose having to start all over again is not that terrible, I can get back to basics again.
I have started writing The Book. I'm having to re write a lot though. The first draft sounded too much like Martin's, the second sounded too bossy and the third sounded too airy fairy. I'm trying to write a debt free wannabe guide that takes account of the mental sifde of things - how you deal with the middle of the month, when your bills are paid, and you can't pay anything off the next lot yet. The bit where it feels like everything's stopped. The loneliness, the anger at yourself and the feeling that you're a total failure because you can't buy the shiny things the TV says you need. Still, I beaver on!
Still waiting for the council to agree to my repayments of £200 a week on teh arrears. They wanted half up front. I choked on my coffee and told the irritating little jobsworth that called me with their 'offer' that if I had £6k I wouldn't be in arrears, would I?! So Offered them a month up front. They can like it or lump it, as I start the £200 a week next wekk whether they like it or not.
Feeling quite positive at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Aww, you sweety! Poorly thing, get yourself a nice honey - and - lemon drink, sit at the pooter and fell sorry for yourself.
Ahh, a true money saver! lol@ selling on ebay. If anyone is willing to actually pay money for my mad ramblings, then you are certainly more than welcome. I think it will be called 'The Book' (Subtitle Coping with Owing Otehr People Money). I've opened the shop today on my day off to see if I gt any more trade, if not then it's ample time to sit, write The Book and log onto MSE. Child is with Nanna, got the Chrimbo music on, and felling pretty good. Now just surfing the net to find ways of automating my ebook empire, and I'll be all set!
I hope you guys are having a good day, and that you're looking forward to the New Year, so you can have a good crack at failing some resolutions. We're all ace, and should be proud of us for another debt busting bank a*se kicking year. We rock. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hey all your DFW chicks! Hope you had a bonzer Xmas, cheap and didn't go mad on the mince pies. I had a fairly good one - got some hair straighteners, Nanny Ogg's Cookbook and a gorge foreman grill. Oh yes.... and
A HUSBAND!!
LB got down on one knee among the wrapping paper and pulled out a beautiful amethyst ring. I nearly blubbed. Only slightly spoilt by his mother's reaction of 'Oh my god' then 'Give us ime to save up at least' and then scurrying off to fix the turkey. She then spent the rest of Xmas and boxing day in a right mood, didn't actually say congrats or anything and just pretended it didn't happen. Oh yes, and then told me in no uncertain terms that I should go bankrupt, as apparently 6 months later it's all over with, and you can start again. Hmm. Think I'll check with Martin.....
But all in all a good time was had by the majority. DD was a bit ill, didn;t eat much and threw up on Nanna's bathrooom rug. She's had a cold and think it was the phlem, as she was okey dokey after that.
So, I'm off to tidy shop, get ready for my sales and plan my DFW Style wedding. Want this one to be good, as the last one was the Worst Day Of My Life (tm) and it's not like I make a habit of this sort of thing. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
