What happened with the bear? Should we launch a manhunt?

I'm so worried about Bear! Please tell us you found him?!

Why I feel such an attachment (virtually speaking of course) to Bear I don't know. I think I quite like that his name is Bear.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there Mort?

Me and DD dont even like going in our local GW shop - it has a definite smell of teenage boy about it :rotfl:

My DS2 had a Dog-Dog - blue Mothercare dog, looked a bit like Snoopy, with a squeaky tummy (c1988!). I bought him a duplicate, which lived at my mum's & was swapped each time we went, which was great until he threw one Dog-Dog down the stairs & its plastic nose broke (sewed-on nose) an he burnt the other's bum by sitting it on his bedside lamp, so then he knew which was which! He still has both, and they've just had a joint 18th birthday!

No,. no sign of Bear. She doesn't seem overly fussed until bedtime, and I'm having a hell of a time settling her. Going to ask at library tomorrow, then take the same route to the bus station and se if he's there.

Mort - take it you're law enforcement? (Not, say, Cleaning pigeon poo off the seats, cos that too is helpful, protective and reassuring) Bear was last seen in the vicinity of market/library area, and is a small brown bear (surprisingly) sort of lying on his tummy, if he gets handed in. Was planning on getting Scott from Westgates to round up the security boys and do a townwide sweep, but thought the sight of the Kevlar Kid and cronies loose round town would put people off shopping.

I too am planning on going to Games Day at NEC this year - not, I hasten to add because I'm a nerd - oooh no, it's because they need 'responsible adults' to take care of the tiddlers (couldn't find responsible, so they bribed a bunch of us vets with promises of White Dwarf mags and a beer when we get there) and because the boys are planning this year on going dressed as Pirates (or ninja's, there's still some fighting over this) and as the only woman I feel the need to make sure they don't end up a) making prats of themselves b) kneecapping anyone whilst attempting to steal Doncaster's banner and c) warping the small children's minds. Not at all anything to do with the fact I can be a kid again for the day and dress up as a saucy pirate wench. No sirree. Not this [STRIKE]nerd[/STRIKE] girl!

Cheapish day, DD's first day at nursery, and was in so much of a panic this morning didn;t do sarnies, so had to buy lunch, and also got bus there and back. She fell asleep on the bus on the way home, she was pooped!! he was very good though, no fuss at all and her diary says she ate all her lunch, and was an absolute angel.

Scumpig phoned this arvo to see how her day went, and also started enquiring about his skuls. I chickened out and didn't say they'd already gone on ebay - made non-commital noises instead. I'm waiting for the divorce to come through before I drop that bombshell. Was having a good day up until then. Was also upset as the council don't appear to add up. I'm very careful (some would say obsessed) with making sure my debt pages in my organiser are up t date, and it seems the council debt is all over the place. Despite my many overpayments, council reckons it's still £15 over what I make it, and their figure bears no relation to the receipts I have. So going to sit down and work it out, then go and show the higher upper payment people, as Payments lady was very snotty about it all today.

I'm now off to get some food, have to clear kitchen first, and so am ever so tempted to order in a chinese, know I shouldn't, money's really tight at the mo, but I do feel I've deserved it recently. But I'll be good and hae some toasties instead

Hope you all had a rather cheap day, and that you're all happily getting debt free.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

    hey lady lady

glad dd had a good day at nursery today, she sounds a right angel really.

i say if ex wanted his skulls so badly he should have taken them with him when he was traipsing up and down whereever he went. no harm, no foul really. but i agree, wait until it's final, then send him ebay page printouts in a 'glad to hear you're going away' card!

enjoy your toasties and don't think about the council for a few minutes. sometimes getting our heads so buried in figures can make us forget our goals and to enjoy each moment of our lives.

((hugs)), because i think you could use some.

yes pigeon poo cleaning thats me well some days it feels like it anyroads, Glad you didnt turn out the A team to go looking now that would have been scary.

Good luck with the NEC, last year it was heaving and all those geeky i mean lovely children were running about behaving so well. Last year i was playing spot the woman but failed (unless you count the big butch one with a moustache better than any mexican you have ever seen). Odly enough the place was full of thirty something single men funny that but hey DS1 seemed to enjoy it.

I shall get on with my posters the hunt for bear is on is there a reward =)
