Hi Obi, have you seen the FairFX card re saving for your holiday.
Details here, we used them, myself and hubby got one each and loaded it with dollars before we went so we didn't overspend.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Yes we never had a problem and we were in orlando over christmas and new year. Used them in Disney, orlando and clearwater. Just loaded them with money when the rates were good and used them as a ongoing savings acccount with Dollars on them.
Go through Quidco too.:p
Dead easy, no credit checks so they were good for us.
Plus we're going to use them again when we go to Vegas, just load a bit each month onto them, the limit overall is £10,000 so there's no fear of getting anywhere near that.

Morning Chicks,
Easter weekend, and it's sogging down on my part of the rock. Not sure what to do with the kids today, park's out so going to be a 'in the house' day. I get the 4 yr old helping with some chores, egged on with the promise of baking biscuits.
On a culinary note - I've been thinking about my Brit food empire - things are slow (i.e. standstill) right now, so was thinking about starting to make and sell home-meade ready meals on the local farmer's market. I'm always getting compliments on my cooking, andbesides, you don't know ifyou don't try, right? If we're ever going to move to the US I need to get my rear in gear and start showing a turnover, not least some profit! So I've run some numbers and I should make enough to make it worthwhile. Plus there's scope for expansion - deliveries to local offices (homemade fish pie beast a dry ham sarnie, right) etc.
So that's the plan, at least. How's my fellow £2 coin fanatics doing?
Todays tip - If you're stuck for stuff to do with the kids today, why not get them helping out around the house, but make a game of it? Ball up the socks out of the washing, and get them throwing them into the laundry basket. How many toys can you pick up in a minute? Most children will need some form of bribery. I find a 'House Olympics' theme works well - chocs for winners, and a 'medal giving' once the chores are done if good motivation, plus a trip tot he park. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Just on my way out but a quickie note on the farmers market thingy plan - be careful you don't fall foul of any health and safety laws re: food preparation areas as you're doing it as a business - also liability if say someone choked on a fishbone or had a reaction to the food you made (well people are weird after all...)
Must dash darling but just a thoughtDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
LOL, cheers Tine - however your fears as me poisoning the local people are unfounded - I've been onto the council, downloaded the relevant forms and am currently awaiting some faceless council drone to get back to me to let me know how to get my kitchen certified. Food safety is a bit of a no-brainer - used to be a chef, so just need a refresher course. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
