Morning Chickies, leaping on whilst Little Man is having a nap. Little b*gger has now decided that whatever Mum puts in front of him will be sampled, rolled roud his mouth then spat out and let the screaming commence. Since he's had this tummy bug he's just not interested in food, nothing's making him happy right now. Sigh....so part of my day today will be popping to Asda for their Smartprice rice-pudding - the only thing not currently redecorating my living room walls......
If I get chance today, I'm working on a new blog (startig to feel guilty that this diary is taking up valuable space here that could be devoted to baliff-kicking tips) and have some furtling to do with the site. Any web designers out there that fancy telling me why Actinic is throwing a paddy whenever I look at it, feel free.
Also looking at booking a holiday for 2010 this week, been putting away for a few months now, so should have deposit at very least. A credit-free holiday, lets just hope that the dollar recovers before we go!
Ebid is slow starting, but then again it's not got the sheer power of Fleabay. Considering it's free to list, and free to host 5 stores I'm not complaining though! Amazon is going pretty well - Mr Obi gave me a load of his roleplaying books to sell, as he go the updated versions for his birthday. However the old versions have gone for near enough what the new version retails for! Talk about holding the value. Anyone else been surprised at how much old stuff has gone for?
So I must crack on, expecting my email from California lawyer today, and dependant on what she says I may or may not have another ton of stuff to do. Have a cheap day chickies!
Tip for today - tonight make a bit of an effort with dinner. Even if it's a ready meal for one, put it on a nice plate, put your orange juice in a nice glass and make it look nice on the plate. Too often we slip into cooking the same things, slapping it on a plate and chowing down in front of the TV. Why not put on some nice music and make it a relaxing occasion. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Why not start up a new thread on here? All butt kicking tips welcome.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Mrs Obi, I've not read your thread for ages sorry, having a relaxing day today, inset day so no rushing about, trying for NS day, although the children would drag me off to Trago Mills at the drop of a hat if I let them.
May go for a walk later-very MSE.:rotfl:
Hope your e-mail is favourable and you can get everything sorted, you certainly deserve some luck.
Everything else is ticking along ok at home at the moment.
Good wishes to you and yours xxxx

Proud to be dealing with our debts:j0 -
hey dawn, nice to see you love, how you doing?
Yeah, I thought about a new thread on here, but a lot of my rambling isn't money orientated, and I don't think that my attitude towards my debts at this point is very motivating for other people - I'm not overpaying, or doing any of the challenges like some of you other superhuman debtkicking wonders. I'm all on 0%, and once my smallies are gone, I'm stuck with a huge £19k monster that no amount of Ebidding is going to make a noticable dent in for a while. So the extra money is going towards setting up my businesses, rather than overpayments - ideally the goal is to make it work so I can pay them off - kinda speculating to accumulate sorta thing!
Don't get me wrong, I'm going to carry on posting here, and hopefully helping other people, but I'm setting up a blog so I can chat about the Evil Gym Bunnies, and the non-money stuff that happens to me without feeling bad about taking up space devoted to getting people sorted out.
I can't leave, I'd miss you guys too much! And get a butt-kicking from MrsT and Bob.This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Darned tooting you would missy...
BTW I've been very very bad... So bad you have NO idea how bad...
I think I just bought a new car... yup you heard me... a new car...
FRIGG!!!!!
I can't believe DH managed to make me think this was a good idea!!!
Ok panic aside - we had to get rid of the mini ready for baby arriving in May, we did need a new-ish car as it's a requirement for OHs job and it's seen as "preferable" in my line of work too. We CAN afford it - it just means I can't overpay my debts by as much but I can still overpay a fair whack. And the car is practical, economical, holds it's value well, and has a very high safety rating...
But I'm still shaking over the fact I've signed on the dotted line... never spent this much money before!!!
Oh it's the new Passat CC TDi Diesel 2.0 in case any one has the faintest idea what one of them areDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Looked out the window this morning and immediately thought "some sod has parked in my space!" before I remembered that DH talked me into buying a new car!
Ah well - it IS nice and it will hold it's value well so not THAT worried. We CAN afford it and it's just my MSE roots that loathe having spent all that money... Can't help it...
Have to admit I feel better about it knowing it's a safer car for Bean to be in and that is the main reason for getting it. Still - we'll be paying this off for a few years to comeDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
