I just needed to vent I suppose.0

Liz that's a terrible thing to happen. There are some seriously mentally ill people about.
It's such a common thing - the police not taking action, it's a dreadful encouragement to bad behaviour.0 -
I called the police straight away. They said they would look into it.....did they heck!
When reporting anything, make sure you get a crime incident number. If the police desk is staffed by some lazy civilian who can't be bothered to fill out an incident form, then getting a number from them ensures they've done this procedure. Also, chase it up if you don't hear anything from them and make sure something is done about it! There's enough avenues of complaint if you're not satisfied, you're paying their wages after all.
At what point do you decide to report it to the police? Threatening behaviour? Threats of violence? Actual physical violence? GBH? Rape? At what point do you think one offence is worth a moan on the net and another is worth a phone call to 999? They're all illegal and reporting them puts into action the very mechanism by which law and order exists in this country.
What an insane paradox that people complain about crime but do nothing to prevent it.0 -

I did not report the incident of road rage because I believed nothing would be done, I did not have the vehicle reg and no witness names etc as I was on my way to work and just wanted to get away from there.
The police would probably just file a report.
I have wondered if this idiot is still driving, I believe in karma, to get this angry he must have a miserable life.0 -

Dreadful encouragement to bad behaviour is you not reporting what happened to the police...they cannot investigate what they don't know about. Why do you feel you can't report this incident yourself...I'm sure you said you wanted to...why don't you...do you need permission?0 -
IMO i'd report. Even if the police do nothing - which they probably won't.
What if the passengers in the next car aren't so lucky and get injured.0 -

Not as miserable as the next woman he managed to drag out of her car and attack because of your misassumptions about police efficiency/need to get to work/other excuse for not reporting it.I believe in karma,
Let's hope not, for your sake eh?0 -

I did report it, we were scared and worried about what the couple might do next so of course called the police right away.
I find it odd that the police did !!!!!! all when we were being threatened with violence on a busy motorway which could have led to a fatal accident, yet when I called the plod a few months back to warn them a fight outside our local pub could get nasty they sent 5 police cars within minutes! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
It's always better to be late in this life, than early in the next0
