True, But I would suggest that the person wanting AV find a AV program and use it properly by learning how it works and how to scan properly and also how settings work also and how good the interface is aswell, and if then they are not happy change to a different AV, I have noticed that some review sites arent updated that often aswell.0 -

This is exactly why there is no absolute 'best' antivirus. The best one is the one that works well for the individual. It would be no good having an antivirus, then not knowing how to use/configure/update it.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Sorry for the delay, had to have a look, long time since I used F-Prot.
You need the DOS version http://www.f-prot.com/products/home_use/dos/
I found a couple of places, still seems dead easy to automate, so here you go, YMMV

F-prot also do a Linux version if needed NOT free though0 -
I use the Windows version of F-Prot, excellent.0
