Was thinking to mix 2 parts white with 1 part colour, ie blue feature wall with sky blue walls to get the nice light feature. May give it a go if the Mrs allows!

Ok one side of our bedroom, was thinking when we get our bigger tv for the other side i may paint the alcove the same blue as that one.. (oddly no matter how many times i take the pic there appears to be a lighter panel going down the middle of the bed wall?!, this is not noticable when in there and should all be one colour!)..the rest is the off white and we have natural wood furniture in there aswell, still pics and clock to put up yet but is a lovely soft glow at night when lights are on. There is a nice choc and turq rug that you cant see too but all matches nicely!

Farrow and Ball 'buff' which is a warm coffee colour, bedding is white (can't abide coloured bedding outside kids rooms) with coffee embroidered boarder, beige carpet and curtains in laura ashley fabric with is creams and browns and grey, edge with charchol grey velvet, have a half made charcol grey throw for it eventually.

More photos! Our landlord has given us the go ahead to paint the house whatever colour we like, I am thinking about a plum feature wall and an off white colour for the other walls with plum curtains. We have an oak bed, so would that all go?

Littlerose thanks! really dont know what the stripe in the pic is though but deff isnt there is RL!!

Bunnie, plum sounds lovely quite fancied it myself, although we have a biggish bedroom i think its quite a dark colour so depends on the size of the room. My sister has a purple and black theme in her lounge and that looks really nice.

I just tried to put pics on here but couldn't do it. Can anyone tell me how? I have a flickr account so should be able to use that to put them on here right?!
  • mine is a new build so all the walls are white. My bedroom was based around an antique mirror I fell in love with and a black chandelier - see pic below :-)
