We have three walls in magnolia and then a feature wall which the bed is against in a light browny sort of colour. I wanted to go neutral on the walls so that I can have bright sheets and accessories :D I'll post a piccie later when I've cleaned up a bit!

I am a fan of white sheets... Easy to care for and do not fade!

I thought about the coldness of blue but tbh it is more a teal than what i would call a blue' as such. I have also chnaged the magnolia to an off white but i have to say it look lovely and clean and really nice at night when the lights are on..ill post when done!!

At the moment they're bright pink stripes! But I alternate with purple, red check, pink check, and red with really bright flowers! I'm a bit of a sucker for bed linen :o and I get bored easily so figured if I painted the wall in any bright colours I'd soon get bored and want to change them....changing the sheets is sooo much less effort!! :rotfl:

I hate choosing colour schmes. Tend to get overwhelmed by so many choices. We've recently had our bedroom completely renovated and we chose Callico for 3 walls and whilst normally very conservative took a bold step and we opted for INTENSE TRUFFLE (shade of brown) for the feature wall. Wasn't sure when we tested it but once it covered the whole wall, I knew we'd made the right decision. We've got a solid oak oiled floor, wardrobes are cream. chest & chest of drawers painted in satin sable. I love the result and find it very restful.

My son is in the process of choosing a new colour for his bedroom.

The poor child must be brainwashed, because three of the first five colours he picked out as possibles are already up on our walls. That started us off looking again at the paint charts in painted rooms, and in every single case, if I hadn't known the name of the colour, I wouldn't have been able to match it to the chart.

I've mostly been lucky insofar as the paint colour has usually been a nice surprise (I also had a terracotta disaster). But it's really annoying (and expensive) when it goes wrong...

We went for a focal wall in our room and the spare room. In our room it's goldy/beigey and the other walls are ivory. In summer we have white bedlinen and voile curtains then winter I change it to a chocolate jersey bedlinen and long chocolate lined curtains. It makes it feel like we redecorate every 6 months!

Our spare room is duck egg blue

Our other spare room is grey and ivory and it was a total surprise as we just grabbed a tin of paint after a disaster with brown! Grey was what we got and I love it!
