What colour is your bedroom?

Options
Looking for inspiration guys.. so out of curiosity, what is your bedroom colour scheme?

Do you have a feature wall? Have you gone for bold colours or neutral on your walls?

Pics would be welcome :)

Hi well we have a new build and as much as i love the neutral magnolia i am in the process of painting it all an off white! so far done the kitchen and downstairs loo and they look lovely..i am in the process of doing our bedroom and its going to look lovely..bedroom just quite a big room so taking longer than i thought!
We have a chocolate leather bed and bedside tables and i recently bought some lovely teal touch bedside lights so the feature wall was based on those..i bought a teal type paint and have the wall behind the bed this colour and the rest will be the off white with pictures/canvas's etc up. Across above the bed i am doing a stripe at the mo in a lighter shade of the teal which is where the canvas's will go so theyhave a kind of backing to them.
I LOVE wallpaper but tbh get bored very easily, this is a cheaper/quicker way to make it look different!
Ill post pics tom or day after when done!

Oooh sounds lovely! Would be great to see a piccy! :)

I'm toying with purple or a turquoisy type colour..
  • I painted my bedroom what I thought was going to be a nice, warm terracotta colour. Once the room was finished it looked pink and I hated it. Indolence meant I didn't repaint it and I've now got used to it and don't think it's too girly-pink any more.

I'm really not fond of blue/green colours for a bedroom as I think they make the room look too cold.

    Pale blue.

We did something similar with the back bedroom! We were aiming for a goldy/beige and instead it looked salmon pink!! We have got used to it now and it's calmed down a lot, i think the chocolate brown curtains and accessories we picked helped tone it doen.

Paint colours on the tin are very deceiving and we learnt our lesson to get sample pots to try out a few shades for the next room we did!
  • I'm ashamed to say that I did try out one of those sample pots and thought the colour was fine. Once it was on the whole room something happened. Probably colour-blindness....

Don't ask what we have now, as we are renting, and the wallpaper is probably original from when the house was built over 20 years ago..

Couple of years ago when we bought a house, we painted our bedroom these colours: Headboard wall - deep purple (I that is how the colour was called -Crown?)
Other walls - Tiramisu, a sort of biscuit/beige colour
The furniture was in oak, and all was working well. We got very light colour curtains as well not to over-do with dark colours. Here is how it looked:

I don't have a bedroom, but when I do it'll be white, all white, painted white. Just white....
    Keep it simple.

White paint's easy to touch up, the colour's never discontinued, you don't have to drive miles to find it, don't have to spend hours/££s on choosing and match pots.

    :)
