Thought 02 were more expensive than T-mobile were offering? Are you able to adv what they are cheaper on. Undecided whether to stay with t-mobile or not at moment. Thanks

I am in the same situation, I am a T-Mobile customer and wanting an iphone and am willing to change Networks,

Last Thursday I was only offered the 24month contracts as below to stay with T-Molble,

    Iphone 3GS 16GB (£78 to pay)
    800 mins
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited Web
    £35 per month

    Iphone 3GS 16GB (free phone)
    1200 mins
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited Web
    £45 per month

Both tariffs are fixed for 24 months and it is not possible to downgrade tariffs after 9 months like O2.

I agree that the deals look good but you have to remember that they are for 24months!!! not 18

I personally think that opting for the O2 package is a long term better deal(unless you would use more than 500 texts in a month!):

    18 month contract
    Iphone 3GS 16GB(£87 - £60cash back = £27)
    1200 mins
    500 texts
    Unlimited Web
£45 per month (able to downgrade to £35a month tariff after 9 months)

t_mobile_insider2 – can you answer why they will not offer better tariff terms to existing/loyal customers (myself of 15 years) or have they been? Thanks

I've just been offered the following deal from T-Mobile cancellations

    Iphone 3GS 16GB £178.51

    18 Month Contract
    300 minutes
    300 texts
    Unlimited Web
    £30 per month
  • NRex can you clarify text amount on 02 you have 500 unlimited? Would any quidco etc be available?

Sorry - 500 texts (not Unlimited) now modified above.

£60 cash back is via quidco (mobiles.co.uk) - I think Orange are now doing the cash back deal as well now.

I'm going for the O2 deal tomorrow (with the £60 quidco discount) as I would prefer the perk of "Advance Ticket booking with 02 @the O2 over the free cinema ticket offers that Orange does.

It's the best I can find and have been looking around for so long now (about 6 months!!!)
  • thanks to this thread, i called up t-mob, and they were able to offer me an iphone 3gs.

unfortunately they say, they are out of stock, and will call me back to complete upgrade on thurs :)

Hi, just out of interest why are you both opting for T-Mobile over O2 and Orange?

In my case I was getting 300 mins and 300 texts with T-mobile instead of 75 and 125 with O2 and 150 and 250 with Orange for my £30 a month. All based on 18 month contracts.

That's a very good deal compared to the others - well done.
  • Hope this helps - There are 18 month contracts available on t-moible for the i-phone

    300 minutes & 300 texts + Internet (3gb) = £30pm paying £93.51 for 3G 8Gb or £178.51 for 3GS 16Gb

    800 minutes & Unlimited Texts + Internet (3Gb) = £35pm paying £93.51 for 3G 8Gb or £178.51 for 3GS 16Gb

    1000 minutes + Unlimited Texts + internet (3Gb) = £45pm paying £0 for 3G 8Gb or £78.51 for 3Gs 16Gb

    Flext 60 ( the new version with 0845/0870/Voicemail included ect) = £60pm paying £0 for 3G 8Gb or £68.51 for 3GS 16Gb

Flext 75 ( new version as above ) both phones are free but tarriff is £75pm

The previous tarriffs are all 18mth - the following tarriffs are 24 months .....

    800 minutes + Unlimited Texts + Internet (3Gb) = £35pm with 3Gb 8Gb free or £78.51 for the 3GS 16Gb

    1200 minutes + Unlimited Texts + Internet (3Gb) = £45pm with both phones free

From looking at the other providers currently offering the I-Phone T-Mobiles internet allowance seems to be 6 times more allowance than O2 & 4 times more allowance than Orange. But do not quote me on this
