Lots of things upset last weeks meal plan, so I'm going to try again this week.

Monday: Lasagne, garlic bread, green beans

    Tuesday:
Cheese and apple pork chops with mash and carrots

    Wednesday:
    Chicken kiev's with rice

    Thursday:
    fish and chips with peas

    Friday:
chicken or beef curry (didn't label the bags of meat, so I know I've got one of each...) and going to try HM nann + see if we have any mango chutney left

    Saturday:
dvd night (pizza, crisps, dip, popcorn)

    Sunday:
roast chicken with pots and veg.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

how exactly does one make Cobbler?

I've been thinking about more variation for beef dishes, but only really make spag bol, which becomes lasagne, and stew or chilli.

    Hi all

After a dreadful couple of weeks which involving lots of takeaways purely because of cba syndrome - I've done a meal plan this week!

Sunday - Roast pork with all the trimmings - Some form of cake/pie??
    Monday - Chilli and rice/tortillas
    Tuesday - Chicken Paella
    Wednesday - Spag Bol
Thursday - Fishfingers, chips and peas (I'm out so something very very easy for OH!)
    Friday - Sausage and Mash
    Saturday - Lasagne and Salad

All are subject to being moved around and changed due to whether Asda has any whoopsies when I go shopping later!!

All meals are quite easy to make and just involve chucking in the SC before work every day. I've just changed hours so now I finish at 6pm and OH hasn't quite got the hang of cooking for the family yet!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:
  • Here's mine for the week :)

    Sat: Venison burgers with salad
Sun: Lamb Tikka Kebabs with Salad
    Mon: Toad in the Hole
    Tues: At Mum's
    Weds: Spanish Omelette
    Thurs: Pork Fajitas
    Fri: Chicken Curry

Breakfasts will be cereals, lunches will be sandwiches and any snacks will be fruit. I'm trying to get us to be a bit healthier ;)

    Have a good week, everyone

  • Well I'm not doing too well emptying the freezer and store cupboards, but at least the meal planning seems to be working. So, here's what we'll be having this week, in no particular order

    HM Roast beef dinner
    HM Chicken and veg lasagne
Rtc Beefburgers with onions, hm wedges and coleslaw
    HM Bacon fritatta
    HM Harlequin macaroni cheese
Rtc Steak and onion pies with mixed root mash and some extra gravy
    HM Stovies
Veg will be added depending on what needs used up.

There'll be a big pot of HM soup for anyone who is extra hungry or just doesn't fancy what I've made:confused:

I've just discovered this thread and I love it!! I've been planning my meals every week since I moved in my house in July to help keep the costs down and also help with the weight management! Next week's plan:

Sunday - Stuffed Mushrooms and salad (trying to be good as the OH is talking about bringing pizza home after work!)
Monday - OH cooking for me at his house (he's just learning, it will be something from Jamie's Ministry of food)
Tuesday - Tea at Mum's (roast pork and over cooked veg!!!)
Wednesday - Spaghetti puttanesca and salad
Thursday - HM Squash Strudel and salad and maybe a jacked spud if I have enough cals left.
Friday - HM fish Pie, mushy peas and veg.
Saturday - salmon with dill and chives, new pots and salad or veg

Breakfasts are a banana and a yogurt with either a HM banana muffin or cereal. Lunches are salad and eithe a pitta or some HM soup.
