Happy New Year! Hope 2010 is a good one for you

Being back at works sucks :( although in a way i'm glad its all over and can get back to some normality now.

    You too purple!

I think I feel a bit the same way now. Having a few days off has made things mega busy at work though so playing catch up this week, doh :o Can't wait till it's back to normal. Hate driving in the snow and ice we've got just now, it's the one time I can be thankful for the oh's 4x4 boy racer car, the control is a million times better than my old banger would've been on it! Hope you don't have to go too far to work, drove the lochs-town road tonight and through town after the snow and it was a bit scary

Got the rejection letter from the post office cc today. Don't quite know what to do now 29.9% is a massive amount of interest that's going to keep the debt high. At the moment theres roughly £2800 on the hbos card (£4000 limit), most of it, if not all is at that scary high rate

I checked my credit score the other day which is at fair  I've no missed payments etc but I'm using 64% of my credit (think that's what it said) and apparently have too much available to me or something? Don't know if that means I've got too much spare available or HAVE too much debt on them?

I don't know if it's better to leave it for a while, get rid of the 3 cc (that has £1500 total limit, it's cleared at the moment) then try for another bt deal in a few months time?

I'm thinking thats probably the best thing to do as I got a virgin 16 month deal back in July (£4500 limit, £4100 balance) so have 2 searches on my file in the last 6 months.

Or is there some way to try and shift it to a better rate?

Think I should also add to my list: *Earn more dosh to pay off my debt :o

Today's turned into a snow/ice day so am working from home, meaning not so much "proper" work and more trying to figure out how to make myself some extra dosh :o

Took photos of most of the stuff in my ebay box from the sort out last week and have 54 items now pictured, going to work on some write ups/descriptions for them today so I can list them quickly and easily at decent times.

Nsd for me again today, had made my lunch to take to work anyway but am just going to hibernate for the rest of the day I think :D

Well instead of doing some write ups for ebay items I did my online tax return :D very pleased with myself as I usually put it off till the very last minute :o

That took forever though, did some work from home over the early evening and on the moneysaving side of things today I:

*downgraded my lovefilm back to the basic pakage as we've not been using the 4 discs per month over the last 3-4 months so that's an extra £4/month saved.

*found a better priced internet deal that will shave my net bill by a tenner a month. Took me ages to find the phone number to call up to get my mac code though so have written it down for phoning tomorrow. Ooohh, and I'll get cashback for it too :D

*the only other direct debit I have is for my mobile. Currently paying £25 a month for 600 minutes and unlimited texts, got a decent phone with my upgrade too. Don't think I'm going to be able to do anything with this for a good while as it's only been a year since I got into the new contract (Had been paying £30-40 a month, found a better deal and said I was leaving so they bettered the offer I'd seen) It's a 24 month contract (though one page in my online account says it an 18month) and I'm not due an upgrade till December this year.

Going to get some write-ups done now though so I can get some stuff on ebay tomorrow/Thursday.

Ooohh, nice refund purple! I got one last year as I had been paying emergency tax in my 2nd job, but since I stopped that over a year ago I had to pay a bit of tax/ni this year. Not a huge amont but enough to make me go argh!

Had a spend day today, had to get petrol then went for a wander round town to see if there were any bargains or nice things to put on a list for the house when I move. Wasn't really anything but did spend £2.50 in the charity shop on a few cups but resisted the rake of Ian Rankin books and some other bits and pieces I would normally have bought.

Got my bank statement today and £26 overdraft charges are due to come out on the 31st Jan (for december) so really need to get cracking on getting myself out of that darn overdraft so will start making a dent in the ebvay pile tonight hopefully!

A flying visit tonight! Have finally started getting stuff listed on ebay, here's hoping for some sales :cool2:

Also started some review writing again over the past few days and getting back into bp after the manic xmas.

Hope you're all managing to cope with the weather, my fingers & toes are still freezing even with gloves & boots on

Have done a list for today:

    [STRIKE]*do jpj
    *do bp[/STRIKE]
    *do at least one review
    [STRIKE]*Have a nsd
    *list 6 things on ebay[/STRIKE]

Don't have a clue where the money for all the bills is going to come this month so am having a major freak out and will probably end up with more on the cards than before  Hoping that this will be the lonly and last month like that :o

    evening!
this is a tight month for me too. The overdraft is going to take a hit if i don't get some ebay sales soon and that looks doubtful!
I've been good though and only bought lunch once so far this year so thats something.

just wish this snow and ice would go. I slipped and fell down the front steps at the weekend  bl00dy painful!

Hope you have a good week
