And how many meals a week did they serve in 2007?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I've spent more than that on an appetiser.....
You spend £22 on an appetiser? What appetiser costs more than £22? Infact what main course costs more than £22? And where?0 -

Very few signs of a recession in Aberdeen......
What IS it about Aberdeen???0 -
Find it funny that some here do not see any signs of a recession, mind you with head's firmly buried in the sand, suppose that's fair comment.0

How many silver dishes did you pick off the conveyor belt?0 -
You spend £22 on an appetiser?
Sure, frequently. What appetiser costs more than £22?
Lots of things do.
The most expensive that I've eaten is Beluga Caviar. About £250 a portion in any good restaurant, or you can buy a 50g portion from the shops for £175.
Only had it a few times, bit expensive for regular consumption, but OK for special occasions.Infact what main course costs more than £22? And where?
Any number of things, in any number of places.
I had a steak and a baked potato at the Malmaison last weekend, that was £45. The bill for two of us for two courses and a nice bottle of wine was £140. Very tasty meal it was too.
I probably eat at similarly priced places once a week or so.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Is there much call for it in Aberdeen?0 -
Is there much call for it in Aberdeen?
Doubt it. I've only seen it in one restaurant up here.
We only tend to have things like that on special occasions, wifes birthday, anniversary, etc.... And typically somewhere nice when away for the weekend.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I thought you were some sweaty BTL scottish bloke starving off bankruptcy with the skin of your teeth with all your VI posting. £140 for a bottle of wine and £250 for some fish eggs? Thats our entire months shopping budget
. I hope you don't drive to these establishments, wine for £140 a bottle must get you very drunk.

Is this not utterly random? At the height of the boom you could walk down a street and find boarded up shops and failing businesses, just like now you can randomly choose a restaurant and find it's packed0
