What insight you have to people on a forum just by reading their posts.

    Want to have another guess?
  • It is a totally acceptible way to explain that you are in a meaningful relationship but you are not in a position to marry. Is it the word common that puts people off?
  • The term is 'cohabiting' when a couple live together without being married

I'm pretty sure a HR department doesn't give a rats !!!! about your marital status though
  • Hey Ringo I totally agree that this is has no bearing on how a future employer would judge you.

I was simply referring to terminology that was used and how trends change.

Has the term Common Law been outlawed or simply branded non PC.

I think perhaps it is regarded as somewhat dated now.
I recall it being used more years ago.

You are right, it is, goodbye and hope you find cure for your frustrations soon.
I am rather ok with my age, with my status, with my children and all that i state on my cv has helped me get quite far by now; i do understand now that success frustrates (some) other people, namely you here, but it is not my problem, I just merely expressed my, not yours, opinion.

Cheer up and always look at the bright side of life.

Do avoid posts starting with "What????" it shows too much of your goosiness, maybe this is not what you want, just guessing....
