You cant use a gift card to buy flights unfortunately as it is not linked to any address and may not even have a CVV on the back of it. It is purely for spending in person in a store.0

my mate just got an electron with a cashminder account at the co-operative bank, he wanted it for booking flights to avoid the charges.

We book quite a lot of flights online so a one of these Halifax accounts sound okay to get the card.
Will I have to have money going into the account from wages or would I just be able to pay in a lump sum and keep topping it up as I have another current account with another bank that wages go into?
