They're listed at company house, but their returns are overdue which doesn't look good.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thanks Elsien thats really helpful.
I suppose I should be grateful the ring turned up and we didnt lose the whole amount!
I dont know why it jumps to that website - im not too tech savvy on that kind of stuff!
Can the credit card company do a partial refund or is it all or nothing??
If not is there anyway I can find out if they are bankrupt and put my boyfriend down as a creditor? I dont suppose we'd ever see anything then but at least it is known that they owe us money too after the other creditors are satisfied.0 -
Sorry, no idea. Perhaps you could use the "have you got a question" link on the company house page to see if they can advise what to do next.
Edit - try this lot
the Insolvency Service (0845 602 9848), which can tell you if a winding up petition has been issued.
Or trading standards may be able to help.
And if you're feeling really cheeky, phone up the neighbours at 87 Hatton garden and ask them if next door are still around.
(Dare you!)
Seriously though, it looks as if 88-90 is a large premises which has several suites rented out to different jewellers, so if you did a bit of googling and phoned a couple, you could at least confirm whether ROCA had vanished or not, and when. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hmmm. They do seem to have vanished, don't they? I get nothing from rocalondon.com, no gardening site - it just hangs.

I tried ringing next door and they didnt know who they were (but as the next poster mentioned they go by various names) I emailed another jewellers in Hatton Garden and got no response
Thanks for the insolvency service link though i will try that tomorrow0 -
Zenmsater, we did get various emails during the purchasing process and one came from the guy at ice diamond so we tried searching for that too like you did. I remember seeing the blog and ( i think) a forum too.
It is so strange though isn't it. I am lucky the ring turned up. I have debated taking it to a jewellers locally and getting it confirmed its genuine and not tat!!! Bit scared of the answer though!! To be fair I am sure its genuine - my friend has worked in a jewellers and spots fakes a mile of and she never said anything when i showed her the ring - unless she was just being polite.
I think it looks like they arent trading anymore, think i have known it for weeks but i am going to try my hardest to get that money back for my boyf. Hopefully the credit card company will reconsider the chargeback.0 -

Found this link when I googled.

The contact would appear to be that of a PR agency or similar - may be worth a call to them.
Good luckThe shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0 -
Have you had the ring checked to see if it's a real diamond?:eek:0
