As far as i'm aware multiple purchases of same cd/dvd only get you 500 points, 2 same will get you 500points while 2 different will get you 1000 points.

Thats not true if you read what i have just recieved in an email from tesco it clarifys the situation.

500 extra Clubcard points (Extra Points) will not be shown in the online basket at the checkout.

They will be will be awarded in the February Clubcard Statement.

Extra Points will be awarded for each title purchased from the promotion range.
The key word here is ''each''.


In the interests of ensuring availability for all of our customers, this promotion is limited to a maximum of 6 purchases of the same title per customer.
Therefore you can buy 6 copies of the same title and still get 6 lots of points.

Multiple purchases of the same title above this limit will not be eligible for Extra Points.
I am not too sure if this means that if you buy 7 copies of the same title you will only recieve points upto a maximum of 6 copies, or if it means you will forfeit ALL your points, but i cant see anyone buying more than 6 copies anyway.

The Extra points promotion is for personal use only and Tesco Entertainment reserve the right to withdraw or amend this promotion where we reasonably suspect abuse of this promotion.
To stop people going crazy and profiting on ebay i guess.

There is only a very limited selection in each catergory now.

Susan Boyle, Michael Mcintyre, Harry Potter, Assassins creed 2, Now 74 and Ice age 3 are all I can see.

This is very confusing..so originally there was no limit and there where no T and Cs,then they are saying its limited to 10 copies,and now they are saying if you have ordered 6 of the same you will get the points.Blimey talk about moving the goalposts !...If anyone has the original screen shot could they please PM me...my head is spinning !!....thanks in advance We placed our orders on the 5th November.

Here are the relevant parts of the email I got from them

I have ordered 8 different items for Xmas presents so they have confirmed 4000 points for me.

Also got this in a subsequent email so they are aware of the confusion they have caused - definitely worth getting clarification if you have something other than single copies of multiple items as they still seem confused.

So yes you CAN order up to 6 copies of the same title and still recieve 500pts for each copy, order anymore than 6 copies and you wont get any points.

It seems even Tesco dont know the t&c's. This contradicts what they say in post 81.

Just ordered Will Young, release next monday yet delivery due after 6 weeks. A bit odd that, better come for christmas.
