Do you get tired of answering questions that have been done a hundred times, and can be found using the search button at the top of the screen?
    Been away for a while.
  • Wow, away for a couple of days, check back to this thread, seriously degenerated! As usual, I'm still happy to help with serious questions, think people could have been nicer to leanne as it's clear she was only trying to help. I did wonder when I saw the thread title, how long it would be before the EA bashing reared it's ugly head, and here's the proof.

You have to realise that text can be interpreted any number of ways. Although i always try and view the text as in the best possible context i could immediately see that Leanne had opened herself up to the bashing from the start.

Its not EA bashing. Nobody here is discriminating against EA's, its personal bashing.

Its only because she seemed so eager to help. Once her answers became quite vague people started to exploit it. Its clear shes quite new to being an Estate Agent and shes very proud of what she does. I think she just needs a little more experience in the industry before she can pull off the 'fountain of knowledge' trick.

All other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!
  • - And what qualifications you have and which bodies regulate your work??
    - And when surveying (anonymously - ie not you asking & interpreting the answers) your clients, both sellers & buyers, how is your work rated??
    - Have you been CRB checked?

    Cheers!

Although not aimed at me I am happy to answer your questions.

I have been an estate agent for 16 years
I have the NFOPP Technical Award in Sale of Residential Property and NFOPP Diploma in Sale of Residential Property (DipREA)
Myself and my company are member of the National Association of Estate Agents and the Ombudsman Scheme.

My work is rated very highly given the amount of experience I have gained over the last 16 years. I have many clients that have used me several times. I have also been mystery shopped on several occasions and have always scored very highly
Yes I have been CRB checked, as should any estate agent....although very few are!

There are currently no requirements for be "qualifed" or to belong to any Professional bodies. I wish more EA's were as maybe our reputation might be a little better!
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)
    Ignore......check!

I agree, I do think that she was genuinely trying to help, however, she didn't help herself towards the end when she got more than a little 'upset' :rotfl:

Estate Agent bashing is par for the course on this forum, shame she didn't realise this before posting!

yes it is. I'm CRB checked. Hasn't helped me get a job tho - :rotfl:

    For what purpose exactly?
Who is vetting your CRB check?

CRB is a knee jerk "think of the children" reaction.
All a CRB check proves is that someone aint been caught yet...
See recent events at a certain nursery as a prime example.
