Abbey ISA at 4.6%

OK, so I've left it until the last minute and then thought that I'd missed the boat. But Abbey (even thought their new branding is crap) look like they've saved the day.

But...I can't find any info about this product. I've mooched around abbey.com but I can only find out about postal / easy ISAs that have rates of around 3.6%. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Ta,
Crom

You'll see a note at the top of the cash Isa article on it (updated this morning)

I talked to someone at the Abbey today and told me the basics of this.

    - 4.6% interest on the whole balance
    - interest paid annually on the 1st of March
    - guaranteed to be 0.5% above the Bank of England base rate.

The only drawback I see at the moment is that you can only access the ISA through the post hence (duh!) the title of "ABBEY - Postal ISA".

Still, a shedload better than the crooks at the Clydesdale Bank ISA lot!

Will be firing into this sharpish.

I rang today for the info, as far as I know there isn't a charge for transfering. They said whole process should take approx 28 days. You can phone and they will send info and transfer forms by post.

Martin says that Abbey has just launched a 4.6% cash ISA in time for the April 5 tax year end. Surely there is not enough time to get that sorted! I applied for an IF cash ISA weeks ago, sent off all the relevant forms, plus a cheque, then they sent back my utility bill that I sent to them as verification then asked me to send them another one! Well this was about 2 weeks ago and have heard NOTHING!
Can I get in touch with IF, cancel my application (I'll enjoy doing that, believe me), then go open an Abbey cash ISA in time for deadline????
