rosepink WOW 1000 steps and all those jobs in your HHC - you must have been jogging -thats something like 40-50 steps a minute- i am impressed to say the least:T
Thanks! I'm able to do about 1500-2000 steps in 10-15 mins now, am definitely feeling fitter. Am averaging 6000 steps a day now. Sounds like you've done a lot today, I was impressed (and a little worried) when you said you'd done a HHI, well done on doing all those jobs as well as going to Macmillan House

Can you tell I am having focus on the positives conversations with myself? I don't know about anyone else but I find it very easy to slip into a spiral of 'everything is grim', and it is a self fulfilling prophecy that inevitably leads to a visit from the black dog.
Well done you! That's really good! :TI've been doing the same, and it's helping. Altho I still worry about money and stuff, we had a nice hot dinner tonight, I have a cosy bed, and a lovely DH, what more do I need? There's no point in worrying myself to death, I've got to focus on the good things in life!

Sazzy you are doing really well! Having a good routine is brilliant, and when you feel able to you will be able to build on it and start doing Level 1 on a regular basis

Tooch, I would go to the coffee and Welsh practice, it would help you to develop your Welsh conversational skills and build your confidence

I've remade the bed (with DH's help), DH has gone out now and I've caught up with Ugly Betty.

I had a word with the teacher (again) this morning and she said she wasn't on playground duty so didn't know anything about it and never notice the coat (it was filthy). I said I was fuming as it keeps happening, I told her dd is now reluctant to go to school on a morning. I also told her that because it's a regular thing I told dd to push back as she is just getting sent back to play when she reports it.

I took photos and started a diary and if it doesn't improve, I am going to see the headmaster.

quite right too, my dd was having problems at school, not physical things though, nothing was ever seen at playtimes either:rolleyes:
we should have done something about it sooner really:o

Not being feeling to grand today, my little boy (3) got me a blanket and was stroking my head to make me feel better he kept telling me he was looking after me, bless him, he then said he was going to play with his lego in the front room (I was laid on settee) but he kept checking my temperature and asking if I was ok. They both in bed so I sat and read through the thread and it's picked me up.
:grouphug: and a huge :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin to your DS for looking after you:T:T

Hi, Please share your recipe, my oh is a chilli head!

    No probs!

It is the first time I have made it so I am not too sure how it will turn out but it looks the same colour as the stuff you buy in plastic bottle without all the additives

Stores for 12mths - recipe from River Cottage Preserves Book

I'm not sure if it is meant to set as at the moment 2hrs after it was made it is fairly runny like the shop bought stuff

    Here we go then

    Chilli Pepper Jelly

    Makes 4x340g jars

    750g normal red (bell) peppers
100g any type of red chilli depending on how hot you like it (vary with hotter types and the fatter cooler types)
    50g root ginger peeled
    350ml cider vinegar
1kg bag sugar with added pectin
    juice of 1-2 limes
    1 level tsp salt

Slice peppers and chillis in half lenghtways and remove fibrous tissues and seeds
Chop finely either by hand or blitz with ginger in a processor
Put in a lg pan and add vinegar and bring slowly to simmering point
Add sugar, lime juice and salt and stir until sugar has dissolved and the mixture begins to boil
Boil for 3-4 mins and then remove from heat and allow to cool for 5mins
Pour into clean sterilised jars and seal with vinegar proof lids

    Use within 12mths

Nigella Lawson has a similar sounding recipe too which I nearly tried. Will see how this ones goes down first. I think this one is runnier, like a relish/jelly and Nigella's is more jamlike. I think it will be in her website (I am sad enough to have her Christmas Book I on offer last year - at least I am using it for numerous recipes this year!)

    Morning all

I didn't mean to upset those people whose hair is in the red band - I apologise.

Wet again this morning. I will do some housework when I get in this afternoon
I's not upset I was teasing BUT my little sister used to get VERY cros when she was described as ginger and she used to say but mummy my hairs NOT ginger it's BOURBON
Actually little redheads DO come in for an amazing amount of teasing right now at school so for them to have me 'fighting' in their camp does help...because, of course, kids DO pick on differences and they now know which differences it's not ok to pick on.

I'm gonna try and join back in as the house needs it. I've been trying to keep to a list as the Home Treatment Team have been out to hubby for the last 3 weeks as he's taken really unwell , i feel like it's back to the start again. He's still no where near better but hopefully it won't take much longer. Throw in the threat of social services because of his self harming, thankfully the doctor know's the kids are absolutly (sp) fine and has told social that..

On top of that DD is being picked on by the same people at school, sunday school and the other wee group she goes to and i'm livid about it. I've spoken to the school etc and they said they would keep an eye so we'll see what happens but if it doesn't stop i'm gonna blow a fuse, i'm so sick of it.

Rhys is like a bull teething but he now is the proud owner of two teeth.:rotfl:

I'm sorry for jumping back in again, it's just things get so crazy so quickly round here that everything goes out the window. There's so many people in and out of this house at the minute. I hope everyone is well as i haven't had a chance to look at the thread. I may not be on everyday for awhile but hopefully when things settle i'll get more of a chance as i miss you all and count you all as good friends who i hope doesn't mind all my moaning.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
